Asa purple heart veteran, I am ashamed to have met Tom Colton who claims to be a patriot and takes every opportunity to rip off other veterans and innocent people seeking help, he holds the bible in one hand and a rifle in the other, his arrogance is appalling, he is a thief and not to be trusted, DO NOT HIRE!

Shame on me for taking someone else’s recommendation without doing my own research. Shame on me for not reading the reviews. Shame on me for expecting an intelligent, thoughtful and respectful interaction. Shame on me for wanting to protect my personal information until I was sure I was going to hire a legal firm. Shame on me for being trusting and expecting to be treated with respect and kindness. Shame on me for allowing this incredibly negative experience to bother me longer than it took us to get up and walk out of the “free consultation”. Do your own research and read the reviews. If something doesn’t feel right, walk away quickly!

I had an emergency situation happen over the holidays and needed an attorney asap. On Christmas eve within 30 minutes of reaching out, I received a phone call from Thomas Colter himself. He was so kind and patient while listening to my issue. The day after Christmas I was in his office with an amazing team of associates and paralegals. They were kind, compassionate and worked diligently together to get me the results I needed. They even set me up on a payment program throughout the process. I cannot express how grateful I am to this office and to each person who worked tirelessly on my case. To Ashley, Sean Hardwick, Mr. Colter and everyone else: Thank you for everything you did for me and my family

This guy is a pure hack! It’s like he never went to law school and never saw the inside of a courtroom. Amazing that he even passed the bar. Steals your money with no results. BEWARE!!

Be careful, he likes to speak of the marine yada yada yada bs he throws every chance he gets. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing. They'll charge you for everything! Even the "free consultation", voice messages, etc. You have been warned. There's a reason why he recruited young, inexperienced, new lawyers. There's a reason why he changed his biz name. Run if you don't want your money going to waste.

Talks the talk but then sends inexperience staff to court, who lack not just experience but basic knowledge of law. They will charge you even for voicemails left on your phone, and when I tried to call and ask about charges he screamed at me and was extremely disrespectful and derogatory, telling me that he was going to tell the office to never answer my calls again, and to sue him if I wanted to, when I just called to ask why they kept charging me even after the trial was over. He is the most disrespectful and unprofessional person I have ever met, he was screaming and completely lost his mind in 2 seconds after asking why I was being charged for emails and voicemails after trial, please hear my advice and research for a better lawyer or you will regret it. The person that he put on my divorce case was corrected by the judge multiple times in court for not knowing how to address the court or using law terms that were incorrect, which made us look incompetent. Research before you hire a lawyer. I completely regret my decision of hiring this firm.

Thomas Colter and his staff are superb. He and his attorneys helped me at a time where I needed it the most. I would highly recommend him and his staff to anyone on town.

He talks the talk. Takes your money then sends some dumb attorney who had no idea who you are after doing a background check. Had to assist her the entire time about who I was, this is not my criminal history 3500 after. Wanted 7500 to go to trail cause they have no pull with anyone like he stated in our interview. Screw your peace crap quote. He also runs a locksmith business. 2 st flag. All smoke in mirrors for that money. Blah balh balh. Con artist. Bs artist at best.

This guy is horrible! He is condescending, rude, and unprofessional. He talks about God and abortion and other inappropriate subjects in his office. My daughter spent thousands of dollars for representation, and he actually told her that her case was going to be a sh!t show and that she would lose when actually she had all the evidence against her babies father, who is in contempt, at least on three separate occasions . He canceled an hour before the scheduled court date, he demanded more money actually refusing to answer even the simplest of questions while shoving a credit card machine in front of her demanding more money. I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing! I looked at my daughter and said we are out of here and as we turned to leave, he was yelling get out, get out! This person is not normal He has obvious issues I wouldn’t hire him to represent my dog. Beware!

If you need a lawyer I would definitely recommend Tom Colter. With outstanding warrants and charges in Florida, I had to turn myself into jail and he helped me clear everything up. I live out of state, explained my case to him & he told me exactly what to do and the outcome he wanted. We planned my arrival into Florida where I turned myself in for the warrant. Tom managed to get me out of jail within 24 hours as promised! Mr Colter & his assistant Grace constantly kept me updated with information and still answer questions for me a month after my case is resolved! If it wasn’t for Colter law group I would still be eating bologna sandwiches in a cell, Thanks Tom!

Tom Colter has represented and helped me through some of the toughest times of my life over the past couple years. This is one of the most upstanding men I have ever met and words can not express how grateful I am for him and his staff for not only going before me but walking with me as well as teaching me to stand up and fight against injustice. Sometimes bad things happen that are out of our control and God uses Mr. Colter, his firm and even his family in ways that I am BEYOND grateful for. They are professional, kind and extremely gifted in all that they do. I thoroughly thank God for them on a regular basis and highly recommend Mr. Colter!

Tom and his law firm have worked professionally and efficiently in handling our case. He has been able to negotiate extensions with the prosecutor in order to give our daughter time to get her life in order and turned around for the better. Tom stays in touch with us on a regular basis and have had several face to face meetings with our family explaining all the possibilities with the case. He does not pull any punches on what the law says and what could happen with the drug charges. He very calmly lays out every scenario possible within the system and explains it very clear to all of us, including the parents. I firmly believe that this was the best choice we could hope for to defend my daughters case.
