I had a long relationship with Mr.Rambana and Ms. Ricci since 2006 when I had a legal problem with Immigration as a permanent resident because of my mistake. I went through very hard times in many difficult situations you can imagine in legal battles with them. Finally I became a US citizen this September . They are honest, Knowledgeable and straightforward to me. I really appreciate all the efforts they had provided for me to resolve my problems. They were best lawyers to me!

I have tried to use Attorney Rambana like 4 times and he never discriminated against me. He kept an open door policy and even refunded me my money even when I didn’t use him. Finally when I used him, he and his team handled my case with utmost professionalism. He guided us through the process and I was granted my GC. I am very grateful for using him, because I had consulted with other lawyers and I’m glad I stuck to him. He’s very good with responding with whatever questions or concerns, so you shouldn’t worry about your lawyer responding to you 1 week later. Lol! I will be using him till I finish the process. I recommend him 100% and he’s the good guy to get the job accomplished.

I cannot say enough about Rambana and Ricci and their amazing team. After working with another lawyer who did not feel optimistic about my case, I met with Neil and Elizabeth and suddenly things began to change and move forward to an eventual positive outcome. I would highly recommend this team to anyone in need of their services.

We want to thank Attorney Neil Rambana and his entire team for the excellent work done in our case. My husband had a deportation order and the Attorney Neil Rambana managed to stop that as soon as we heard about it. During the time He handled the case, He structured it in such a way that although sometimes we did not understand why we applied to so many documents or because sometimes the appointments were extended for so long, however, later we realized that everything was part of the STRATEGY HE HAD to resolve the case in our favor and demonstrate that my husband was a person with principles and that he really did a lot of social help in our community. Over time we went accumulating points in our favor that finally on the day of the last judgment we had a great support. Every question asked by the lawyer always had a positive reason to point out that everything he said was true. He knew how to debate the questions or statements of the prosecutor and the judge, always in our favor. Even at the end of the trial he was congratulated SEVERAL TIMES and repeat SEVERAL TIMES by the JUDGE saying "CONGRATULATIONS FOR HAVING HIRED A VERY GOOD LAWYER" I CONGRATULATE ATTORNEY NEIL DIRECTLY FOR THE PROFESSIONAL HE WAS THROUGHOUT THE TRIAL AND FOR HOW HE HAD PREPARED FOR THE CASE. I EMPHASIZE IT WAS MANY TIMES THAT THE JUDGE CONGRATULATED US FOR HIRING ATTORNEY NEIL, THE JUDGE WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH HOW HE KNEW HOW TO HANDLE THE CASE. EVEN THE JUDGE MENTIONED THAT IT HAD BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE HE HAD SUCH A GOOD LAWYER IN HIS COURT. We recommend 1000% to Lawyer Neil Rambana and his team. A professional in every sense of the word. He always told us that we would not have 100% of winning the case but that if we worked well and prepare we could win the case. Days before the trial, the security with which the lawyer spoke really gave us peace of mind, we never noticed him nervous, anxious or worried, He always told us the truth from the beginning, the opportunities we had and that we did have a chance. He always had a plan B, and we saw that He was working ahead of the situation. Our case was HARD but with his advice and joint work we went out to achieve in Victory! MONICA

I emailed Ian a question on a weekend & assumed if I got a reply it would be the next business day. Imagine my surprise when Ian not only replied to my email inquiry immediately but gave a very detailed response as well. He was very polite & professional and he even answered a follow up question I had as well. I truly appreciated him taking time out of his weekend to answer my question as I was stressing quite a bit over my issue. Awesome, professional! Lisa~

Ian took our probate case and did a GREAT job. The judge was located in another county from where we live and seemed to be going out of his way to make things difficult. Ian kept his cool and managed to wined his way through all of the barriers placed in his way. He kept us up to date on what was going on and we would use him again if we have a need for an atty.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Tallahassee, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
