We are out $15,000 unjustly due to her mistakes in court where she was unprepared, admonished by the judge and filed the wrong initial complaint and then we had to pay the defendants legal fees because of all of this!!!!!Our case should have been contingency but she took our money and after being the victims to our home completely destroyed in a water loss, she took advantage of us and left us in a very bad position, worse than where we started. Do not give her a dime!!! Her mistakes unfairly cost us more $$$$!!!

This attorney fully supported to pursue my claim against my HOA’s property manager in February 2023. After the initial consultation and write up with this attorney I had gotten very sporadic emails from her assistant for months. In September 2023 I was sent an email to set up a $300.00 15 minute call with the attorney. I expected the call to reveal the outcome of the months of sporadic emails over the months. Instead the attorney asked what was going on with my claim. I told her I would be expecting her to have her tell me what was going on. She did not remember the expected outcome of my claim. Many things said during the conversation did not make sense. The attorney 13 minutes into the conversation told me to call back(for another $300.00) when I was not aggravated, snarky, rude, and argumentative, and then hung up the phone. She followed up with an email saying because if the snarky, rude, argumentative, and disruptive that they are terminating services and closing my file. This was a large waste of my time and my money.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this attorney. I engaged their services with high hopes, but unfortunately, it turned into a complete nightmare.
First and foremost, there were significant issues with transparency regarding fees. I was advised to settle my case, which ultimately left me with a settlement that didn't even cover half of the attorney fees. To make matters worse, I was billed for the attorney fees after the settlement, which I wasn't informed of in advance. If I had known, I would have pursued a different course of action, potentially going in front of a judge to ensure my legal expenses were covered. It was also shocking to discover that the company we were suing had a clause limiting their contribution to just $500 in attorney fees. If the attorney's staff had done their due diligence and informed me of this before taking my case, I would have never proceeded with the lawsuit.
Another major issue was the disorganization within the office. They consistently failed to keep me updated on the progress of my case, and I had to initiate follow-ups repeatedly. At one point, I didn't hear anything from them for an astounding three months, which is completely unacceptable when dealing with legal matters of any kind.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against hiring this attorney and their office. They lack competence, organization, and, most importantly, the dedication to look out for their clients' best interests. If you are in need of legal representation, there are undoubtedly more capable and client-focused options available. Save yourself the trouble and frustration, and look elsewhere for legal assistance.

After sending specific, chronologically organized notes and transcripts of emails, with detailed remarks Ms. Seward’s first words in the first minute of the conversation were: what is the problem you have? I was definitely not expecting that. I thought we were going to exchange ideas in regards to my organized, carefully drafted notes for her to understand my issue at hand. It took me by surprise her question right after our greeting. I couldn’t help to immediately recall one of the reviews where a previous frustrated client expressed similar frustrating situation. I replied, it’s all in the notes I sent you. Did you read them?
After she wanted to argue with her answer back, I said, it’s ok, let me refer to the Email. I went over key points, to summarize my email, her answer still was, so what would you like for me to do? I could not believe how off base her question was!! I have just answered her what I needed advice on and for which she charged me $300.00 phone consultation fee.
To Everyone reading this: please, believe the 2 stars review. Plus, she has been reprimanded.
She does not qualify, believe reviewers that take the time to share the experience. (I cannot help but wonder, how many people had similar or worded experiences and did not take the time to write a review…)

I sent her advance docs.. she didnt read them. I waited until she did read them and still she appeared clueless. She had her phone on mute and after i got done speaking i called her name… said HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO she finally came back to the phone and asked me why i think i need a lawyer when i just explained myself ! It was apparent to me she hadnt been listening to me. I finally just hung up on her. What a waste.

I would not recommend this attorney for any reason. We met and she informed me of the of my rights and laid out a plan of action. I really thought she was trust worthy and would help me so I paid her $2,100.00. I waited for her follow-up on plan of action and to contact me with update. I did not hear from her. I called and was told that she sent out a email. I never got an email. No communication over 3-4 months. I left messages no return calls .5 months I called again because the people that she was to notify stated they did not receive any notification from her. I continued to call finally she return call. She had not done any work on my case. Could not answer any questions I ask as to where she was in handling my case. She was asking me questions she initially asked on our first meeting also asking for information already provided. The conversation ended when she states I needed to pay another $500.00 after having already paid $2100.00 that I got nothing for. I decided it was best to cut my losses and end this relationship. She did nothing, but according to contract I cannot get any portion of my money back. I signed the contract thinking some action would be taken. I got 2 very expensive conversations and this did include the $75.00 I paid for initial consultation. This was a very costly learning experience for me.

We were impress during the initial consultation therefore we hired Ms Seward to deal with a non disclosure issue. We paid the retainer, April 30, provided her with all our documentation, and she was going to do some discovery work (request board meeting minutes). Despite two emails from us, 3 months went by with not one communication. She actually was snippy with us when we finally spoke to her. At which time we asked her to send a demand letter as she assured us we were in the right on the disclosure. She promised the letter would go out in a week. That was Mid July. No letter, early September we began sending emails demanding a status, the assistant replied "its on her to do list". Again mid September we then demanded the letter be send by month end. The last week in September we called daily, left message and wrote emails, no one reached out. I called from blocked number and the assistant promised someone would call me by Wednesday SEPTEMBER 25. We finally send an email firing her on that Thursday September 26. Funny thing she actually replied in two hrs and the next day tried to say we had agreed on month end. We got nothing from her, she blamed her staff and us, the client, for her lack of communication and professionalism. DO NOT HIRE MS SEWARD FOR ANYTHING. She should be reprimanded by her peers for her lack of professionalism.

I wish I could give ZERO stars. I paid for a consultation fee and was told by Ms. Seward to call back in 45 days to go forward with collecting my judgment, which I did. I called AND emailed for two weeks with NO RESPONSE then finally received an email where she told me because this is her firm, she can do what she sees fit, and would not refund me my consultation fee. Horrible customer service, and absolutely no professionalism.

I hired Alicia Seward on October 16 to represent my HOA in a pending lawsuit. She complained about phone calls and emails to her office asking her for case status updates, although I was not getting any information or updates from her. I gave her instruction and she ignores it, then she quit giving me no notice after I had a question on her Invoice. She lacks experience and professionalism and I would most definitely not recommend her to anyone.

We hired Alicia for our case, and Alicia showed up to our mediation completely unprepared. She never filed an amendment like she said she was going to and never communicated with us on the status of our court date causing us to miss it. Then instead of fixing it, she withdrew from the case. We lost a lot of time and money hiring Alicia. I do not recommend her.
