DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER, I REPEAT DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER! I had to fire Andrew for the last part of my case & come to find out, as I feared Andrew is looked @ in Pinellas county as one of the worst criminal defense lawyers in the county. I had no priors, no criminal history @ all. I have worked with special needs kids for over 20 years & I lost it all because I hired Andrew. He did not do one thing for my case, I was guilty the moment I called him & that is the only time he answered my phone call in 4 months. Andrew will say things like I use to be a former prosecutor which means nothing! He knows no one. Andrew uses lines like this to make you feel at ease & if he has said this to you fire him immediately. He even told me during my case he had 50 plus open cases so be patient. Andrew simply is a criminal defense lawyer because he believes if you have to call him then you are guilty & it is less work for him & this is why he asks if you have any priors/he switched from a prosecutor which he had a terrible track record. After I fired him my new lawyer couldn’t get in contact with him for transferring documents such as discovery. When Andrew was asked about it he said that I had already received it which was a lie even though I had called several times & emailed about this. Andrew had the nerve to lie to my new lawyer saying he hadn’t heard from me in weeks which was also another lie. After Andrew finally sent it to my new lawyer which was suspicious as did he even have it? Simply put Andrew is looked at in Pinellas county as a lazy, slimy defense lawyer & I only wish I would have read a comment like this before hiring. Andrew prays upon people who don’t know the system & Andrew doesn’t care about you in anyway, almost like he plays judge for your case.The more cases for him the more money he makes. I had two separate probation offers say the same thing assuming my lawyer was a public public defender because I could not get in contact with him & was getting more info about court dates & other through my probation officers. I had no priors, not one single thing on my record, countless references and I was still convicted WITH NO PROOF. I decided to fire Andrew after I was forced into taking a deal/during the restraining order hearing the video evidence in which I was arrested was finally played for Andrew & I, during this/after the video was played in a separate room Andrew even said, & I quote, “now I understand why you have been so anxious, you are innocent” he then tried to follow up his comment as he realized what he said with some court lingo trying to cover his tracks of laziness. I couldn’t believe it as well as it made my new lawyer sick to her stomach after I told her how the last couple months went. Andrew gave me a “deal” with out even reviewing the discovery with me, the evidence to convict, did not depose the “victim” simply told me to show up for a court hearing that I found out through my P.O as it wasn’t a big deal & then all the sudden there were papers to be signed. The new PO when I reported even said “man you got hosed”. Fire Andrew immediately if you have hired him & if you can’t afford another lawyer you better hound him because this guy is one of those who take your money and run. Absolutely disgusting & disgraceful. Every thing I said is absolutely true & that’s not even close to the 4 months of hell & other details, now the rest of my life is ruined by this person lack of representation. Like I said my new lawyer was absolutely disgusted with the details & never heard of a case so mishandled but apparently he does this all the time.
