I read all of the great reviews (now realizing they are fake) and decided I would contact this law firm to advise me on whether or not I would have a case against an employer that retaliated against me before terminating me, after I'd raised concerns and made suggestions regarding their training program. When Kyle contacted me earlier this afternoon, it was clear that he had not read the case summary I submitted via the online intake form. He seemed oblivious as to why I consulted him in the first place. After he introduced himself, his question was, "How can I help"? This caused me to explain everything all over again. A real Lawyer would've actually taken the time to read and learn the details prior to the meeting, and began the conversation by addressing the issues at hand in a professional manner, and advised their potential client accordingly. He spoke to me as if I was pulling things out of the atmosphere, just to try and sue my previous employer for being a "jerk" (that was the word he used). Also, when I mentioned I felt there may have been some discrimination due to my race, because the company is not very diverse in their hiring practices, Kyle was very cold and dismissive in his response, and asked if I had contacted the EEOC. This was another indication that he hadn't read my case summary, because I did state that I had contacted the EEOC last week as well. I also provided dates along with each situation I described. As a Black woman, I expected my concerns to be taken seriously when I made the decision to reach out to a Black lawyer. Even if it meant that I would not get the answer I was looking for. I never wanted, or asked for preferential treatment, but he behaved as if I had. Throughout the entire call, Kyle seemed disinterested in everything I was conveying, and was ready to get rid of me as soon as he could. He simply did not care. The fact that I never received a confirmation for my "Free Consultation", which only lasted exactly 8 minutes and 11 seconds, was a red flag within itself. All of the above is what makes it very difficult to support Black businesses. The unprofessional attitudes tend to overshadow our accomplishments at times. For me, this is yet another reminder of how Black males do not respect Black Women in the least. I have definitely learned my lesson. God bless you sir....

This attorney was very helpful in answering my questions. I am new to looking for an attorney and I didn't realize that some law offices won’t speak with you. The first law office I reached out to, Wenzel Fenton Cabassa I spoke with an intake specialist and was sent an e-mail saying they could not take my case. I think all attorneys should at least speak to their potential clients to allow them to ask questions. I left this consultation with a lot of clarity. Thank you!
