Stop searching for an attorney you can trust and count on. Amber Boles is your attorney. She is incredibly responsive, always willing to listen to your concerns and has a very caring heart. We were at our last hope in trying to get a two year case resolved. After spending thousands and thousands of dollars with another attorney and getting no where, Amber took on our case with such passion that she was able to get more accomplished in 45 days than our old attorney did in two years. She is someone who in my opinion doesn't see you as a revenue stream, but one who wants justice served for her clients. She studied hard to know our case and spent countless hours getting ready for trial. She represented us so well in court. Amber is inspiring to be around and candidly one of the smartest individuals I have the chance to be around. I highly recommend you hire Amber Boles. She is top notch in our book. An outstanding lawyer.

I would like to just express my gratitude and huge thanks for everything Amber did for my wife, my two kids, and me. My wife had been extremely adamant prior to mediation that 50/50 was not going to happen and it wasn't in the best interest of the children. She had spoken to me multiple times how it would not end well if I took her to court over this issue. However, Amber was able to help speak to her in a manner which changed her mind. I am still in awe of how everything turned out. I am so thankful (and even that word doesn't express it enough) that my wife and I were blessed by God to have Amber as our mediator! She helped to provide my family with a very positive and happy future in a unfortunate situation. From the bottom of my heart thank you for helping me to be the most present father I can be for my children! I just can't say thank enough, for how Amber was able to help my family. She was a professional and at the same time showed compassion and empathy toward me and my wife during this difficult day of mediation. She helped my wife and I both compromise to find agreeable solutions when it was necessary for us to compromise.

Ms Boles and Mr Phipps participate in practices to help their personal careers rather than watching for the interests of the child or family involved. My life will never be the same after these disastrous lawyers got my case. Buyer beware. I know that Ms. Boles is definitely not a 10/10 lawyer and is unethical in practice. Do not hire. Today she says she's a Mediator and Collaborative lawyer. She told me she is a litigator. Never stepped foot in the courtroom that I hired her for.

I was referred to Amber through a family member who had recently gotten divorced. I had called about 5 or 6 other attourneys and I didn't really find one that I "clicked" with. I set up a consultation with Amber and I knew instantly she was who I wanted representing me with my divorce. She was so personable yet professional. She took the time to help break down the process for me and even give me some resources to do my own research. She made the whole process as pleasant as it possibly could be! She communicated clearly- I was always aware of where we were at in the process and I always knew what she needed from me and when she needed it. She was easy to get in contact with and always got back to me in a timely manner. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for an honest, reliable, family/divorce attorney

I was referred to Amber because of her knowledge in family law/mediation. From my first consultation she explained my options and walked me through the 'typical' process. Amber, presented my options in a manner that allowed me to make an informed decision of how to proceed. Amber, was very thorough, would check in and reassured me that no matter the decision I made she's got it handled. I highly recommend Amber! Her service, knowledge and professionalism are beyond expectations!

Dina, met a very high standard in Availability, Attitude, and Ability. I call it three tools. Also feel free to use me for a recommendation as / from an out of town Dad who was looking for trusted counsel for a loved one in a legal bind due to driving offenses with related parole violation.

Dina worked with my wife and I when an unfortunate incident occurred and we had some outstanding traffic violations for toll roads. Mrs. Sheridan gave me a fair quote and did not charge anything additional to the wage we agreed upon. She was professional throughout the entire process and kept us both informed as things progressed. Having a great deal of experience working with attorneys both professionally and personally, it is definitely refreshing to be able to reach and receive timely responses from hired council. I would highly recommend Dina Busciglio Sheridan for any traffic offense cases.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Tampa, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
