Being completely unfamiliar with the legal system, I was quite anxious when I got myself in a bind. I found counsel on the recommendation of a friend, who was nice enough, but I never really felt they were working ‘hard’ and I was never sure where the situation was headed or what the plan was. I switched counsel to Debra Moss, Esq. of Carlson, Meissner, Hart & Hayslett, and the situation completely changed. I immediately felt more at ease, knew where I stood, knew the plan, and was apprised at every step. She took me virtually ‘by the hand’ (which I needed) through the maze from beginning to end. I am very pleased to recommend Deborah Moss. She was in my corner every step of the way during my DUI, even down to the little details. She was very caring and understanding, listening to my experience and giving me excellent advice all the way up to my court hearing. While visiting a friend in St. Pete that I served with in the Army. I was charged with a DUI, for sleeping in my vehicle after leaving a bar downtown. When the police arrived on the scene I was standing 2 meters away from my vehicle speaking with a Paramedic. I asked the police if I could contact my friend for a ride or at least to pick up my car. They refused and placed me under arrest. This arrest was executed with such haste that my keys, phone, and wallet were left on top of the car and lost. I believed that this case would be a "piece of cake" until a paramedic came forward stating that he would testify that when he approached me in the vehicle it was running. At this point I was afraid, as this would be my second charge. I began contacting different lawyers in St. Pete, no one made me feel as comfortable as Bonnie. With her knowledge and reassurance throughout this process I was able to handle the DMV hearing of this case on my own, before I even decided to choose Carlson and Meissner Law Firm to represent me. Shortly after winning my DWV hearing on my own I decided it was common courtesy to call Bonnie and thank her for the knowledge she shared with me. After speaking with Bonnie again I decided this was the was the type of legal defense team I needed behind me. From that point she worked diligently and aggressively to reach a verdict we both agreed was the best for me. I thought my life was over when I got a DUI until I met Deborah Moss. She was easy to talk to and explained the process with great detail and ease. She came up with a plan of attack and well...
