Glenn Law Group handled my divorce case very professionally and was extremely sensitive to the issues and questions I had throughout the process. Danielle (Dani) Glenn, my personal attorney, is very experienced in divorce matters, and was very receptive in listening to what I wanted from the divorce and helped guide and advise me on how to handle things without forcing me to go one way or another. She genuinely cared about my feelings and provided the necessary guidance to make sure I pursued the divorce supporting my best interest while upholding my legal rights and following all pertinent divorce law. Sani Tolliver, the paralegal assigned to my case, was very patient with all my questions as we moved through document preparation, the various filings and follow-up. She was very responsive to my emails and calls, with most of her responses being within the hour, with me rarely having to wait more than a couple hours if she was busy with other cases or was waiting to obtain info to send to me. Sani was very friendly, easy to talk to, and quite personable. She is confident and well-versed in the divorce process and made me feel comfortable with every step. Carrlina Mitchell, Legal Assistant, always answered the phone quickly when I called and was extremely helpful in directing me to Dani or Sani if they were available to talk, or suggesting to set up time to speak with them. She has a great personality, willing to help, and was confident and knowledgeable in answering my questions and providing feedback. The times that I was in the office she was very welcoming and accommodating to the extent that I was comfortable, asked if I needed anything, offered coffee and/or water, and just made me feel at home. Between Dani, Sani, and Carrlina they treated me with the utmost respect, made the divorce as seamless as it could be for such a stressful and not so fun process. They provided that ray of light at the end of the tunnel by being easy-going but wanting to protect my interests and have my back. I was referred to this firm who came highly recommended and they did not disappoint! I highly recommend Glenn Law Group, P.A.

I am writing this review to express my profound appreciation for the outstanding service I received from Glenn Law Group. The process of filing a petition for paternity and a parenting plan for custody can be daunting and emotionally exhausting, but this attorney and her staff made it as seamless as possible. From the initial meeting, the professionalism, empathy, and a keen understanding of family law issues was made abundantly clear. The attorney explained every step in the process, with simplicity and detail, letting me know upfront what I could expect in this legal journey. These attributes were refreshing and instilled confidence in me facing a potentially stressful situation. The punctuality and organization were unparalleled during all our appointments and court proceedings. Each documentation was meticulously prepared, leaving no room for oversights or lapses. The timely and precise filings were evidence of their diligence and dedication to my case. Moreover, the attorney was unfaltering in fighting for my rights. They advocated tirelessly for the best outcome in my favor, ensuring that my interests related to paternity and child custody were secured and upheld. The attorney's dynamic blend of compassion, strategic expertise, and meticulous attention to detail was a true game changer during this difficult journey. Not once did I feel I was just another case in their busy schedule. I felt prioritized, heard, and understood. Their prompt response to calls and emails was second to none, promptly clarifying all my concerns and queries. In a world where exceptional legal service from family attorneys seems nearly extinct, having such an advocate by my side was nothing less than a blessing. I confidently recommend this attorney to anyone who needs family law assistance. This attorney’s know-how and drive to deliver compassionate service were more than anyone can ask for during such an emotionally challenging process. Remember, the choice of a lawyer is an important one, and I am grateful I made the right one. This attorney’s rich proficiency places them in a class of their own, a manifestation of legal mastery coupled with true empathy for their clientele's plight

Elana has been so amazing to work with. Being thrust into entrepreneurship due to a successful Kickstarter, she has helped alleviate the stress of moving forward and protecting my IP. She has been so warm, accessible and knowledgeable. She even attended my event to see what I do. Greenway Firm is now an essential part of my business. I couldn't ask for a better lawyer.

This guy is the most knowledgeable and caring lawyer I've ever worked with. He's smart as a whip, thorough and very fair. We worked with him at The Florida Healthcare Law Firm and we're just so impressed. We felt total trust in him and taken care of in a way that is hard to find with lawyers.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Wesley Chapel, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
