It gives me great pleasure to highly recommend the immigration legal services of Shaz Asghar. Over a year ago I was referred to Shaz by my stock broker for a second legal opinion on a matter which I could not make any headway with over the last 2 years. What was most impressive about Shaz was his knowledge of US Immigration law and his ability to review all the options that were available to me. Shaz took the time to understand my back ground and my businesses and family connectivity. Armed with a complete understanding of my history Shaz was able to formulate a go forward strategy through a series of meetings, e mails and teleconferences. The strategy was clearly laid out in memo form. Even though from time to time I prevaricated with proceeding with his advice, as time went by, it was crystal clear that Shaz's initial advice was correct and sound and what I needed to do was to follow it. Which is what I am doing now.

We came to Mr Foley after a bad experience with a previous attorney. After emailing him one time to schedule a time to talk he immediately made himself available, spent 30 minutes on the phone with us to go through the situation. Mr Foley never once promised an outcome to us other then him agreeing to pursue the case and fight for the best possible outcome for our family. We asked this "lawyer" for support in matter of Immigration questions. He asked us for a retainer of 5000$ before he would start to work. We knew this was a huge amount, but because we were desperate, we believed it was right and necessary. We just asked Mr. Ashgar to add a sentence into the retainer agreement that he will refund the money in case my husband gets a job in the US through employer sponsorship. He added, that a refund is possible if we obtain a green card through an employer sponsorship. For us this sounded correct and we believed him that with this sentence we are save in case my husband would get a Job in the US. After we returned to Europe we sent several emails to Mr. Ashgar to which he almost never responded or just stated that he is busy and will answer later. So basically he didn't do almost anything for us or made any progress on the visa. A few weeks ago my husband finally was offerred a job oppurtunity in the US by another company which was also willing to take care of the visa application. Consequently we asked Mr. Ashgar to refund our money back. He stated that it is not possible since we don't get a "green card" but a "visa" trough an employer sponsorship. Since we are no lawyers we didn't know that there is a difference. No one from outside the US can get a green card through an employer sponsorship in first place, it is always just a visa! Nice, right? We were shocked and told him that we need the money back for our sons treatment who is serverly disabled. Because Mr. Ashgar was not open to any kind of negotation, we asked him to refund at least that part of the money which he never used, since he did so little work for us. But he only replied with a list of all the emails we wrote to him, for which he charged us just for reading them, including those email, in which we reminded him to respond to our earlier emails, Again he said there is no chance to give us back any money. Therfore we can't recommend him.

Mr. Foley is an excellent Attorney who will fight for you and get you the best result possible. I highly recommend him for your criminal defense needs! He handled my son's case all the way through the Expungement process and now my son has a clean record.
