I had the pleasure of recently working with Jack Scarola, Chris Rodgers, Mary McCann and Wendy Calvet. While the nature of our business together was extremely sensitive, the entire time they treated me with the utmost respect and courtesy throughout the entire process. This team always made me feel like a priority to them, regardless of how busy they may have been. They have exceeded all preconceived expectations of working with an attorney! During every email, phone call or even personal visit I felt safe, cared for and understood. The level of compassion they each exhibited delineated what I had hoped for when seeking council. From unexpected after hours emails to even a weekend phone call from Jack, this team created an environment in which I felt as though I were a dignitary. When in reality, I am far from one. I consider each of them a blessing to have as guardians on a treacherous path I had to take. I am eternally grateful to have been lead to them! I was the victim of a serious surgical error that took a series of four major operations to repair. I initially spoke to several attorneys who were not sure if they could win this case and then I found Karen Terry. Wow, she is the best attorney that I have ever seen. She is smart fearless and can switch between sweet and hard when she needs to be. She is a good cop bad cop in one body. I can’t believe the research that she did in my case and the very long hours that she spent on this while encouraging my wife and me the entire way. She knew everything about why my surgery went wrong. Matt Schwencke joined this case as we were getting ready for trial and he was also amazing as he added much to the situation. My wife and I felt like we were living in a dark room for a long time and we feel like Karen pulled open the drapes and let the sun in and saved us and gave us our life back. Karen Terry, our Attorney at Searcy, Denney, Scarola, Barnhart & Shipley, PA was so gracious to take on our case and is an incredible lawyer. She worked tirelessly for over 2 years.
