** My First Hand Account** Its an unfortunate thing to be involved in an auto accident, But sometimes the word "accident" is simply not accurate. An "accident" would imply that something happened, that was out of our control, and completely unavoidable. But that's not what happened to my Father-in-law, Howard. He's the beat up 79 year old gentleman in the picture who was blasted by a guy who blew a red light on Military Trail in Delray Beach. This was the picture I took of him after being released from Delray Medical. Bloody, bruised and still in shock. His car was hit so hard, it wound up on the sidewalk and he was taken away in an ambulance. Broken collar bone, fractures in his ribs, wrist and shoulder...This was not an accident, It was neglectful, distracted and dangerous driving. But, On the positive side he survived, so now what? 🤔 So, after getting him back to my house and making him as comfortable as possible, I took on the role of being his advocate. Documenting the evidence at the scene with dozens of photos from multiple angles. My next step was to call a trusted friend, Craig Goldenfarb. Craig's team immediately jumped into action, Their sincerity, professionalism and concern is genuine and so comforting. From the explanation of what happened, through the process of choosing the right doctors, then through a jungle of insurance nonsense that we certainly did not understand. My elderly mother was attacked at Darcy Hall a Life Care Center in West Palm Beach FL. by her roommate. My mother was non mobile and her roommate was fully mobile. My mother should have never been a roommate to a monile patient with dementia. My other was an Alzheimer’s patient. We were able to begin a lawsuit against the facility and our lawyer was able to assist us in settling out of court. We were treated like family with care and compassion and successfully give this facility a black eye for their neglect.
