This firm is very good at what they do. We had a great 1st consultation regarding my wife's disability claim with Cigna. They gave us good advice, but I think for a long term claim from an employer provided disability the deck is stacked against the insured, the insurance company has nothing to lose in most cases by denying your claim. Dell & Schaefer put together in my opinion a very detailed 40+ page appeal and we won the appeal and did not have to go to court. Very pleased with their services.

When faced with a life altering health issue, it is hard enough to deal with the situation, much less the daunting task of filing a disability claim. If you are a small business owner as I was, this entire exercise has to happen while you are finding an individual to buy your business, which for me happened at the height of the initial pandemic shutdown. The disability claim process involves producing literally hundreds of pages of documentation, running the gamut from business records for multiple past years, medical evaluations, and many other things you wouldn't anticipate on your own. Steven Dell and his Legal Assistant Merlin Bryan were nothing short of ALL-STARS!!! I can't imagine having attempted to navigate those stormy waters without them. They are extremely compassionate, friendly and responsive. Quite clearly, this firm is the best in the business. If you are facing an abrupt end to your career, at the height of your earnings, you need a friend to lead you through these dark waters. Steven Dell and Merlin are those friends.
