Dell & Schaefer is a great place to work! The employees are treated like family and they truly care about their clients.

Having to go through this experience is already stressful enough so I felt very fortunate when I found Dell & Schaeffer, and more particularly, Steve and Michal. I won't say that any of this process to win what you are owed or deserved is easy, but they do everything they can do to make less stressful on you. They lead the charge; they are kind and compassionate as well as being incredible at what they do. I had tried 5 local firms to deal with the company I worked for, NO ONE would touch it or them. Dell & Schaeffer didn't bat an eye and going to work for me. Others forget what's at stake here for you, what you've already lost, not just monetarily but personally. I can't say enough about what a wonderful group they are and continue to be to this day! You would be very fortunate to choose them as partner to represent you during this challenging time,

Everything seems to go well each month. Only hear from Attorneys if there is a problem with the insurance company or they have paperwork the insurance company wants filled out. My attorney did work closely with me and kept me abreast when the insurance company wrongfully cut off my benefits. Worked hard to have them properly reinstated.

The team at Dell Disability has represented me since 2015. I initially contacted them to discuss what options I may have due to migraines. Shortly after my initial discussion I experienced either a mild stroke or severe seizure while working in India. Upon returning home I was diagnosed with brain damage, PTSD, seizure disorder, migraine disorder, and mental health impacts due to my experience. I was a high earner and carried both a company provided and individual disability policy. My attorney worked with my spouse, doctors and others to assure that we had the best case possible to force the company provided disability provider to pay on the policy. Even though I was a senior executive within my firm, and had participated with the selection of insurance providers, I was shocked to discover they automatically deny claims, and the level of difficulty to recover virtually any restitution.. While I remain frustrated with the laws that govern this predatory practice for corporate disability firms, it is obvious had I not had Steve, my attorney from Dell, I would have been left with little to no recovery at all.

Honestly, I don’t know where to start with how good my experience of this firm is. My LTD claim was suddenly denied by UNUM after 6 years of payments. This was an incredibly stressful time and like most people I knew nothing about the appeals process or ERISA. I looked online for a law firm to help. I am so glad I found Dell & Shaefer. Why are they good? They know all of UNUM’s policies inside and out, they know UNUM’s tactics, they have a proven track record of success, and they produce high quality work, but what really sets them apart is the customer service. Attorney Alex Palamero and Paralegal Lisa Valleso made this emotionally taxing process as painless as possible. They answered emails the same day and were available for calls when I needed them. Of all the things I was worrying about, they were not one of them. I knew I was in good hands. We won the appeal and within 6 months my LTD benefit was restored including full back-payment to the date of the denial. They are worth every cent.

I worked with Alex Palamara and his paralegal, Sonia Nogueira. From the very beginning, both of them were compassionate, responsive, and more than helpful. Alex listened carefully to gain a clear understanding of my situation, then recommended a strategy. He guided the process of getting information from the insurer and my providers and was able to distill it all down to a compelling administrative appeal. In response to the appeal, the insurer reversed an unjust denial :). Knowing that Alex was advocating for me regarding disability gave me peace of mind in this area; I knew he was handling it. That let me attend to other fires which made a huge positive difference overall.

I did a LOT of research in advance of my "need" for their services. I knew my disability insurance was ready to cut me off and when it happened, I went to Rachel Alters and Catherine Lopez of Dell Disability Lawyers! In a very timely manner, they had the money I was CHEATED out of heading my way. When it really counts, these are the folks you need! You're scared and afraid of the huge companies and all their resources, but Rachel will walk you through it with her highly competent staff. I would DEFINITELY recommend them to anyone in need of a disability lawyer! UPDATE 5/5/2023: My disability insurance (RSLI) is at it again, trying to "cancel me" and it's been UNDER A YEAR since I got back on! I have been on disability for almost 20 years and now they want to "cancel" me every 6 months! I don't like giving 1/3 of my paycheck away but this makes it seem like a GREAT INVESTMENT!! Let reliant standard deal with my attorney and stop bothering/stressing me out!
