Kenneth Hamner has been my professor in three classes, Intellectual Property, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Business Plan Development, during my pursuit of two masters’ degrees at the University of South Florida. He is a prominent business professor in practice and experienced attorney. He is definitely not the average attorney or professor. As a professor, Kenneth is exceptionally knowledgeable. I can confirm first-hand Kenneth’s competence as an attorney as I recently engaged his services to represent me against my abusive landlord during the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced me to leave my apartment to take care of my family. As I attempted to get released from the lease, my landlord was trying to enforce abusive tactics upon me to let me go. To be released without penalty, the landlord wanted me to get a substitute tenant for the remaining three months on my lease plus an additional year after my lease end date. Initially, I individually exchanged multiple communications with my landlord. I realized no progress had been made, and my landlord was not willing to back down from their illegitimate requests. They were using their superior financial position to intimidate and harass me. At that point, I decided to hire Kenneth. He diligently took the time to review my lease, analyze the situation, and took immediate action the same day. He is exceptionally passionate about his law practice and serves his clients to exceed expectations. Kenneth handled my case on a one-on-one basis. No intermediaries, a direct phone line to contact him, and was always readily available. He responded to the communications sent to him by my landlord within hours. He would later always inform me about every action taken on the case. Kenneth is a very proactive attorney. He was closely monitoring my case even when my landlord stopped responding to his communications. Having Kenneth as an attorney gave me confidence as he appropriately handled my case by being very professional and respectful with my landlord, yet aggressive and intimidating when needed. To Kenneth, it doesn’t matter who he is dealing against and does not hesitate to apply the force of the law to its fullest extent. Kenneth has over 18+ of law practice and knows how to govern his affairs properly. He was able to diligently and concisely negotiate with my landlord until they let me go without proceeding to court, rest assured he was willing to litigate if the issue escalated. With his representation, my landlord released me without conditions, not even for the remaining three months of my lease and without termination fees.

I hired Mr. Hamner in July 2015 to carry out some work for a new business I had started. I first met him when I was a student at USF, he was a guest lecturer there at the time. Ironically I chose Ken because he was a lecturer at USF, this was my first ever business and I wanted someone I could trust. I paid a $5000 retainer and was told that the items I needed would be completed shortly. Among other items, I had asked for employee agreements, operating agreements, privacy policies, third party sharing policies, and customer contracts. Little did I realize that over the next TWO YEARS the only item I would receive was a generic operating agreement. Every time I contacted Mr. Hamner he made constant excuses about how something had come up or he was busy with something else and that he would get the items to me soon, he never delivered. In April 2017 I approached Mr. Hamner for a refund, he agreed to come to a resolution with me but told me that it would not be immediate as he was going away. I have NOT heard from him since. Don’t throw away your money and go and find someone else.

About three years ago I was reassigned to a new role that required an expertise in financial matters. When you are handling money that is to be dispersed to several other organizations, there is no room for errors. Ken Hamner was my organizations legal and financial consultant.
