There is not enough space or time to express how amazing Heather Trombly is. She is an excellent attorney, a trusted voice and in come instances a magician. She takes a personal interest in each and every client, and truly makes you feel heard, justified and important. Heather helped me in so many different facets, over a long and detailed custody case. She was a voice of reason, professional and even a pitbull when it came to opposing counsel and legalities. I could write a novel about all the great and amazing things she was able to help me accomplish in my case – and how fair, understanding and strong she was in the process. I cannot recommend Heather Trombly enough. If you want the absolute best in the business she is the right person for your case.

I hired Attorney Trombly to handle my Child Support and Timeshare adjustment due to change of circumstances. She is extremely knowledgeable and presentable. I was very impressed at the way she handled my case. She takes pride in what she does and sets up a game plan in regards to progressing the case and dealing with the other party. She is awesome at negotiating whats in the best interest for the parents and children. She can also be Feisty and Firm when needed. I would highly recommend hiring her.

Heather has been incredible. Not only is she professional, she's also compassionate and has worked diligently for us every step of the way. She is thorough in her research and execution of strategy and has kept me updated as to new developments as soon as they occur. Whenever I've been anxious about some aspect of our case, she's walked me through my options in a very logical, step-by-step way that has helped keep me calm as has given me a better understanding of what we face. On top of that, she's realistic. I know exactly what to expect every step of the way. I honestly don't know where we would be without her help and support. Thank you so much, Heather, for everything you've done and continue to do for us. I hope you know how much we appreciate it and how important you are!

It is been a year since I hired Heather as my attorney. She have never ever disappointed me in any question I had. She is handling 2 of my family cases and all I can say is that she is the one and only! All the lawyers I have contact and talk to, she is THE ONE who gave me compromise and all her attention. She handles my case like it is hers too, and I love that. She is very intelligent and she is always ready to learn with you and from you! She is very aggressive with great speech and confidence. She always consult my opinion, and give great advices before she moves forward in the case. I wish I could keep her forever! She has gone with me to several court hearings. With tons of arguments and questions we have got the most court orders we could ask for. I definitely recommend her!

This powerhouse team of Dusty and Natasha is unlike any other. I happened to come across Dusty in a google search desperate for the right person to help me navigate my divorce. In my first conversation with her, I knew she was it. Words don't do her and Natasha justice. Dusty doesn't miss a beat. She KNOWS her stuff, to every detail. She isnt afraid of those attorneys who have like to say alot but do very little. If it wasn't for her, I don't believe I would have equal timesharing of the children. There is a reason she has 5 stars. Trust me, she will be the best decision you ever make. I am the happiest I have ever been because of her and Natasha!

I started with a different law firm and was going no where. I was refers to Dusty Twyman law firm and it was a blessing. Ms. Twyman did not tell me what I was going to get , as the law firm I started with. She explained to me what she was going to do on the consultation that we had before I started with her. After Ms. Twyman fixed all that was wrong from the first law firm and got it all fixed in the court. Then the worst thing that could happen to a parent happened! I sent the information to Ms. Twyman in an email , this was an after hour matter, and Ms. Twyman called me and told me to trust her and let her do her job. I was reluctant and emotions were running high. I took a deep breath and told her I would let her do her job. She fought every battle and told me to keep trusting her. I did. In the end Ms Twyman and Natasha Twyman are the best. They got me through the battle and won the war for the most important person in my life. I cannot thank them enough. If I could give ten stars, this law firm would get it.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Winter Garden, Florida?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
