As a father, husband, and attorney, Lisa and her colleagues Julie and Amber are outstanding professionals and good people to call upon in your time of (in my case) urgent estate needs. What really stood out to me as an attorney was Lisa's direct, compassionate, and professional delivery of her services in light of my mother's critical illness, even going so far as being flexible with her firm's scheduling so we can handle my mom's affairs. While I only have been practicing law for about 7 years compared to Lisa's three decades, her practice is top quality in addition to her experience.
I wished I had used her firm (for my own personal estate planning) over another local lawyer who left me with a sour, unprofessional, impression after everything was finalized even if they did everything correctly for the same price.
I also want to give Julie a special shoutout for her superb courtesy and work ethic getting everything tied down so quicky. I hope this endorsement is a clear signal to others to GET YOUR AFFAIRS IN ORDER and to use Lisa Shippel Law to get it done quickly and fairly.

Above and beyond! Fantastic service! There was an issue post closing in regards to the final payoff of the mortgage and Lisa and her office were on it. The receiving bank received it but misapplied it or should I say just didn't do anything with it and were in no big hurry to correct the situation. Lisa and Mary stayed on top of it and got it resolved. Thanks again Ladies!

Lisa was impossible to work with. She is stuck in her ways and will not work with me as her customer to ensure funds are safe. I am trying to complete a RESIDENTIAL property purchase. It is zoned residential and always has been. And I will be building my home there. For some reason she keeps referring to my purchase as COMMERCIAL. So she doesn’t even have her information correct. Additionally, I am not comfortable with wire transactions as I personally know of a nightmare situation where a family lost almost 800K to hackers. I have offered numerous other ways to provide funds and she is unwilling to accept any of them. All my suggestions would provide methods and a time frame to collect the funds PRIOR to closing at no risk to her. However, she has no problem asking her clients to risk money by wiring it where if it is gone, it is gone. If I write a bad check then I would lose my escrow money, the property I am purchasing, along with my reputation and good standing. I have nothing to gain and a lot to lose by giving her a bad check. If I am providing a check prior to the closing and allowing her to obtain the funds first, then there is no risk to her. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed that she is only concerned with protecting herself (which again, obtaining funds prior to the closing is not risky) but does not care about the safety of client’s funds.
