I hired this law firm about 3 weeks ago. My lawyer was Ebony. I asked a few questions about my divorce and couldn’t understand George law never was the law explained to me. I paid my retainer fee. Then they started asking me if I wanted to go to trial, but wouldn’t explain why would you go to trial in a divorce? We only have one item a car to get worked out then wanted me to pay 12,500$ then wanted me to pay $2500 for an emergency hearing for my car. After asking questions one of the partners called me and told me….. they could not handle my case after reviewing emails between me and Ebony …… you need to be knowledgeable in your case ….. remember you are paying them…. Make your own decision to use them or not….. oh and lost my money …. This law firm Would not return my funds …… not great business…..

BEWARE PLEASE READ 🚨 🚨 🚨 🚨 THIS LAW FIRM WILL RUN UP A MASSIVE BILL WITHOUT ACTUALLY PERFORMING ANY WORK WITH THE COURTS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!! MY ATTORNEY WAS LAUREN! THIS LAW FIRM WILL CHARGE YOU FOR EVERYTHING AND EVERY FORM OF COMMUNICATION. YOU CAN NOT EVEN EMAIL YOUR ATTORNEY WITHOUT BEING CHARGE FOR EVERY TIME SHE RESPONDS. YOU CAN NOT CALL YOUR ATTORNEY WITHOUT BEING CHARGED FOR EVERY CALL. I RECIEVED COUNTLESS REPEATED EMAILS ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS OVER AMD OVER FROM LAUREN ONLY TO BE CHARGED ALMOST 900.00 JUST FOR EMAILS. EVERY FORM OF COMMUNICATION YOUR ATTORNEY HAS WITH ANYONE FOR YOUR CASE YOU WILL BE CHARGED. I ASKED FOR A SIMPLE DOCUMENT TO BE CREATED TO FILE AND WAS CHARGED 7,000.00 ONLY FOR THE DOCUMENT NEVER TO BE FILED WITH THE COURTS. I WAS THEN TOLD AFTER PAYING A 2500.00 RETAINER THAT I NEEDED TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL 4,000.00 FOR THE DOCUMENT TO BE CREATED THEN ANOTHER 2,000.00 TO FILE THE DOCUMENT IN COURT. I SPOKE TO 2 OTHER LAW FIRMS WHO ADVISED ME THAT I WAS BEING RIPPED OFF BY THIS LAW FIRM. THEY WERE SHOCKED WHEN I TOLD THEM THIS LAW FIRM IS REQUESTING AN ADDITIONAL 4,000.00 FROM.ME.AND NO PAPERS HAVE BEEN FILED IN COURT. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Avoid this firm. I retained them for three years and it was nothing but performing the bare minimum yet running up a massive bill. There was a revolving door of associate attorneys and staff, none of whom seemed particularly interested in doing their job. I only discovered how poor their legal service was when I switched law firms. My new lawyer was unsurprised and told me they have a horrendous reputation among the legal community.

Meriwhether and Tharp promised me a backbone against a rough divorce and instead had me sacrifice everything instead. They have created utter chaos in my life and do not care, actually told me they do not care. They are inadequate and cannot do there job in any capacity to protect there client, they only care about billing. They do not disclose in there contract that they will put a lien on your house if you do not pay and do it without notifying you of anything or even care if they make it right.

Without getting into specifics. Documents returned included language that was unrelated to case. Very slow on responses. Amount charged was well above what's advertised on website. Just felt like sloppy work.

I had very bad experience ,especially when is comes to charges & billing .There's no accountability and charging model. you cant question them on any charges. you will always be blind spot. I lost so much so money. You will be threatened with liens. . This is not for a ordinary people unless you are multi millionaire.

The WORST LAW FIRM ! Especially Todd and Renaé !

Should be NEGATIVE stars. Charlotte and Meriwether and Tharpe have been, without question, the worst money I've ever spent in my entire life. And, not just a "little bit" of money, over $50K for me to give up EVERYTHING that was fair to fight for, while my ex-wife gave up nothing. Charlotte did not fight for me, period. Not at all. She looked for every opportunity for me to make concessions, while demanding no concessions from my ex. This experience was a complete and total scam - with the sole intent of separating me from as much of my hard-earned/saved money as they possibly could. Period. They did not "represent" me at all in mediation, flat-out lied to me about "saving money by doing their jobs" around my finances and an initial offer, and happily filed a lien against me knowing full well that I know EXACTLY what they did - i.e., extorted money from me while providing no value whatsoever. Do the right thing for yourself - hire someone else. Do not bother with this scam of an organization. They represent the EXACT thing that people despise about lawyers - they are dishonest scam artists, only interested in taking your money, and lots of it.

Paid over $5,000 and made zero progress. Came in for a consult about child support for mom who didn’t work and they said we had a case. Several months later and no progress, we were advised we didn’t have a case. Still paid over $5,000. Never made it to court, never saw a judge, never saw any documents “requested” from M&T to dad. Very poor experience, would never recommend them and feel like this should be reported higher.

Hired this firm to represent me. Lawyer they assigned to case was either totally inexperienced or incompetent. Lawyer almost cost me $4000 by signing off on agreement for me to pay plaintiff for forbearance mortgage payments . How can practicing attorneys not know that proceeds from sale of house is community property and if said funds are used to repay joint debt it cannot be recovered . They were slow to respond to my concerns and I had to call to suggest actions, for example. Opposing counsel failed to send over settlement in timely manner. Three week; I had to call and suggest that they draft and send over our own offer. The only thing that seemed flawless was their prompt billing and filing leave motions. Fired them and they have nerve to send me bill for motion to remove themselves as counsel. Attempted to call office manager.twice, you guessed it; never available . But your experience might be different . Good luck.

Horrible experience to just get a free consultation. I needed advice to change my baby’s birth certificate but situation is a bit complicated, lawyer’s bluntly said “it’s my fault I’m in such a mess” and did not help me at all or gave me any good legal advice just insulted me.
