Attorney Rothman handled each phase of the defense process with expedient force. When it came time to attend trail, Mr. Rothman made me feel comfortable with all aspects of the court process and how to proceed afterwards. The staff at his office are extremely kind people and were always there to answer any questions I had about the cost/time/ or process of my defense proceedings. We hired Jeff after I was charged with a DUI while being underage. He helped me get into the pre-trial diversion program. He was EXTREMELY helpful, he talked us through any questions that we had, and always was in contact with us even though we lived an hour away from his office. Jeff works very closely with the prosecutors in your case to make sure that you are being prosecuted fairly the court. In my own case I believe that even the staggering amount of evidence I had to drop my case would not have mattered if Jeff was not there to defend me. He does come at a price, but that price is much smaller than the price you may pay for being wrongfully convicted of a DUI/DWI. An excellent attorney and staff, I highly recommend Jeff Rothman.

I received my 2nd DUI in five years in Jan. of last year. I had fallen asleep on the way to work behind the wheel after a rough night and totaled my car. Failed my field sobriety test miserably and still had a hint of BAC with the breathalyzer. In retrospect, I SHOULD not have been behind the wheel and learned my lesson the hard way. I am a college student and had very little money. I did my research with surrounding lawyers and also went to multiple consultations with others. After meeting with Jeff, I had felt the best I had since the night before my arrest. We discussed my financial troubles as a student and worked out a very generous plan for me. We met on multiple occasions and studied every different aspect of how to handle my case. The defenses we had in trial, the possibilities of a plea, and my chances of the whole thing getting dropped. After multiple meetings, we settled on a plea deal. It was such a good deal that the interim prosecutor on the day of my sentencing was astonished (and livid) that the original prosecutor had agreed upon a deal so sweet and said that normally in cases like mine the punishment was triple of what I was to receive. I'm still in contact with Mr. Rothman regularly about my case and he is still just as helpful as he was a year ago. I can't thank him enough. Go to him if you're in a tight spot. He is the BEST in Athens, GA.

After the first meeting with Jeff and hearing about his background, I felt relief concerning what I was facing. He went through every step he would be taking for my case. I had a shoplifting charge, a DUI, and a probation violation all within 2 years. I used three different lawyers for each case. I used Mr. Rothman for the probation violation. I was going to have to sit in jail for 11 days before I would get to go to court and Rothman got me in front of the judge in 2 days. Because of this, I didn't lose my job. Also, the prosecution was attempting to charge me with a second DUI instead of just the diluted drug test. Rothman got them to agree to just giving me a MEMS device for 50 days. No additional charges, no additional probation, no additional sanctions on my probation, got me in court 9 days before I was scheduled and saved my job. And I also thought his fee was less than he was worth. This lawyer is great. The first 2 I used were a waste of money and I will absolutely turn to Mr. Rothman in the future if I need representation.
