I first hired Mr. Daniels 4 years ago when he was recommended to me by my cousin. Mr. Daniels won my cousin full custody of his daughter due to a terrible situation the mother was putting their child in. Initially I was with a female attorney in Athens who was not capable of performing up to my expectations in the courtroom. I had not one, but TWO cases going on at the time of hiring Mr. Daniels. One with my x husband who had a terrible opiate addiction and the other with my daughter’s father who was alcoholic. Both of which were in no shape to take care of themselves, much less a child. Mr. Daniels literally mopped the floor with my daughters father, (rightfully so) and worked hard to get my sons father (who agreed to rehab) on the right path. Since 2019 I have been in the courtroom with Mr. Daniels numerous times. We have filed contempt twice against my daughter’s father and won each time. Plus I was awarded attorney fees two times, which is not common in family law. I HIGHLY recommend Greg for any and ALL cases pertaining to family law. In my humble opinion he is the best family law attorney in Athens, by far. He has protected my children with an iron fist. He is fast at getting back in touch when you need him. He works very hard to determine the best outcome for the child and fights tooth and nail to get awarded in the courtroom. He is well respected by Judges as well as his colleagues. I’m so thankful I fired my old attorney and hired Greg Daniels. If I didn’t, I truly believe that my children would still be living in dangerous situations due to the negligence of other attorneys who just wanted to take my money and not FIGHT for what was right.

I ended up firing Greg Daniels because I was ultimately dissatisfied with his lack of communication, inability to develop a solid strategy, bad customer service, and overall lackluster performance. If you are looking for a divorce attorney that you have to pull information from instead of receiving it, overcharges, and makes you question if he's actually on your side then Greg is the one for you. Mediation with him was a huge waste of time and money and he had no problem taking other clients' calls while working on my dime. That was unprofessional considering what I was paying him. I even found myself looking up legal things at his request while he was sitting across from me. Almost like I was working for him….what?! Following our failed mediation I decided to let him go. I received a final bill in February full of inflated charges for his time. For example, he billed me 2 hrs for a 25-minute phone call. I emailed Greg about my disagreement with his billing, spelled out my concerns, and clarified that I was ready to resolve this so we could move on. He never responded and I never received any other bills or correspondence. Fast forward to July, after radio silence since February (5 months) I received an email from his business manager with a bill for the original amount and a notice that Greg had placed a lien on my house! After researching I found out the lien on my property was placed two weeks before even notifying me! Without any attempt to resolve the situation, he chose to use the nuclear option!! What kind of professional conducts business like this? In the end, he reduced my bill (let that speak for itself), I paid it….and he removed the lien. There’s a lot more I could say about my overall bad experience but leaving you with this….going through a divorce is tough, emotional, and expensive and I now know I chose poorly in hiring Greg Daniels to represent me….save your money, time, and sanity and don’t make the same mistake!

Greg Daniels is hands down the best attorney money can buy. From our first consultation I knew immediately this is the attorney I needed on my side! My divorce was lengthy and complicated but after 21 years of marriage and my Ex having an affair I figured it would be. Greg was right there to guide me through every bit of it! He did beyond anything I could have even imagined. He was a beast to watch in the court room. He was ready for every lie my ex husband and his affair partner tried to come at him with and he had evidence after evidence to back it up. It’s finally over and I am so happy I chose Greg Daniels to handle my divorce. Thank you Greg you and your team are amazing!

My wife & I are former divorcées & we now have a beautiful blended family. Mr. Daniels & his wonderful team (Jenny & Erin especially) represented my family not once but twice. The first time was with my wife’s ex-husband. By the end of it Greg helped not only my family but my wife’s ex as well (through ownership for his actions & seeking help for his substance abuse). Greg would then go on to help with the adoption of my now oldest son. A couple years later my ex-wife, after nearly ten years of living out of state and minimal contact, sued for custody my two children from our marriage. For the next year Greg & his team not only represented my family with the highest level of professionalism but compassion too. This man has my upmost respect as a professional & as a father. His tireless work ethic & investment in my family means the world to me. I would only recommend Greg Daniels for any family legal needs. When I desperately needed help making sense of an awful situation, Greg was there. He was compassionate, clear-minded, and exceptionally skilled at calmly and deftly cutting through the noise that my ex's attorney was working hard to create. His legal advice was always well-reasoned and well-argued and made me certain that I had a true advocate and mentor through the entire process. I am deeply appreciative for all he did.

Greg and Jenny did an amazing job with a long, drawn out custody case. They were supportive and more importantly, we won. Greg is a complete professional and very impressive in the court room. He’s a total boss.

No one ever wants an attorney but more often than not, we all end up needing one. I’m not the most decisive person but choosing Mr. Daniels to represent me was an easy decision. Mr. Daniels is thorough and tough, he is who you want in YOUR corner, not your opponent’s. He doesn’t sugar coat things, he tells it like it is. He will dig deep to find necessary information to assist with your case and do all he can to make sure his clients are satisfied with the outcome. He and his staff are professional and courteous and I highly recommend them to anyone I hear of needing legal representation.

I had a very serious situation that led me to Greg... my three children! From the time I walked into his office, until we walked out of the court room, I never once doubted his work. Greg and his paralegal, Jenny, stuck by my side and never left me in the dark about anything going on with my case. No matter how busy they were, everyone always made me feel like my case was their one and only, and I had his full attention and expertise. I could never thank Greg and his team enough for everything that was done for our family!

Greg has been an excellent lawyer. He handled my ex wife's aggressive lawyer with great poise and stuck with me through a lengthy and difficult divorce. He uncovered hidden income my spouse left unreported to the courts which ultimately garnered a more favorable settlement. He does his best to come to an agreeable solution but will pull no punches if litigation is unavoidable. He gets 4 stars instead of 5 only because he can be difficult to reach at times, but I am satisfied with his performance.

Greg is an excellent lawyer. When my ex wife filed for divorce I interviewed with a couple lawyers to try to figure out who would be the best lawyer to represent me with this very important case. After hiring a divorce lawyer my ex decided that she wanted full custody of our child who we were raising together. This was very difficult and scary because I love my daughter very much and I know how valuable it is for children to have both of their parents in their lives. After a few minutes speaking with Greg in the initial conversation I had more knowledge of the divorce process and specifically what I need to do, and what he would do for me than in all the other consultations combined. I hired him with full confidence that he was the best divorce lawyer for me. I now have joint custody of my daughter and have her living with me fifty percent of the time. If I am asked about a good divorce lawyer in Athens Georgia I recommend Greg Alexander Daniels immediately.

In June my wife of 10 years informed me she wanted a divorce. During this traumatic time I interviewed with Greg and another lawyer that will remain nameless. I met with Greg and the first thing that stuck out to me was how easy he was to talk to but just as important was how professional/knowledgeable he was. Following advice, I met with the other lawyer. In my scared and clueless state I retained the other lawyer because he charged less. Needless to say my experience with the other lawyer was just short of awful. I was forced to cut ties with this other lawyer and went back to Greg. I explained my frustration with the other lawyer to Greg and he explained to me how he works. Greg explained that if retained, he wanted to know more about my case than anyone. He assured me that he as well as his paralegal Jenny would be available to communicate during my trying time as this was a major problem with the other lawyer. The difference between the two lawyers was absolutely night and day. Greg actually cared about taking care of me and my 3 kids. Communication was top notch and I knew that he was looking out for my best interests the entire time. Greg fought on my behalf as my wife and her lawyer began to try and get everything they could. Greg walked me through the process step by step and we were able to reach an agreement with the other side that was more than fair. I have to tell you that Greg exceeded my expectations and that I am truly blessed to have him as my lawyer. I understand how sideways your life can go during a divorce and how unprepared you are when it happens. I remember looking through AVVO ratings to find a lawyer I knew nothing about knowing that they would be responsible for so many factors of my life going forward. Who could I trust my life to? Look no further and take my word....... Greg is that person. I am blessed to have had him represent me.

Mr. Daniels did a fantastic job of representing me for both my divorce, and my custody case. His level of professionalism, knowledge, and attention to every aspect of my case was refreshing. I enjoyed working with him, and would retain his services again if the need were to arise.
