Kelly Schiffer helped us with our divorce in 2015. She was actually representing my ex-husband, but the experience was amazing! Kelly was fair, so professional and responded to us almost immediately. I tell everyone thinking about divorce to use Kelly. I have referred countless clients to her and have heard wonderful feedback. Thank you Kelly for all you do to make a hard and painful experience better.

I am an Atlanta Realtor and used McMichael & Gray, PC (not my preferred organization) but I will say the overall professionalism was fair. My clients and I believe in an equitable approach from attorney to signee. Our associate attorney (Bich Tran) was not at all friendly, thorough or attentive. The job is done when it’s done, and the same level of service should be exemplified until the end. The final opportunity of improvement was a post-closing photo for my clients, as they were rightfully excited with the completion of document signing. The response from Bich was “I can not touch your phone; its Covid”. ...there were over 100 pages exchanged from Bich to [both] clients; hand to hand, and the buyers were taken aback at the response. Spilled milk at this point, but will urge another law office for future transactions. 2 stars is most suitable :)

I would not recommend this family law firm. I had the misfortune of hiring Kelly Schiffer to pursue a contempt petition on my behalf. I found her to be unorganized, she cancelled and rescheduled meetings, and frankly wasn't that bright. She had difficultly understanding some basic financial matters related to the case. She was not a good advocate ... at all. After I fired her and found better representation, I won my case on the merits. I read the other review about her and I can say that I'm not surprised. Regarding the lengthy response from the firm ... what's the old saying, "the lady doth protest too much."

I interviewed Kelly Schiffer, Atlanta Family Law Attorney as a potential attorney for my divorce case. Based upon my experience and interaction with her, I wouldn’t recommend her. I got the impression that she would say anything to get a retainer. I had a financial matter that would be part of the case and she had difficulty understanding it. I felt as if she barely listened to me at all. I’ve also learned that you should ignore those “Super Lawyer” designations because they are paid for and any review on AVVO is essentially worthless. April 2020 I wired a refundable lot deposit for $5,000. I ended up putting a different property under contract and that property was also through McMichael and Gray. I submitted a request for the pre closer to return my $5,000 at the end of April. I followed up again in May, and on May 21st the pre closer sent me a form stating that it needs to be filled out before I can get my lot deposit back. Literally an entire month went by before she sent the form. I filled out the form, returned it and asked her to confirm receipt. Of course she didn’t confirm receipt of the email with the attached form so I forwarded the same email a week later, no response. I called her today and she acknowledged that she saw my emails, but... (no reason was provided as to why she’s unable to confirm receipt) I asked to speak with the closer, and honestly that experience wasn’t much better. Save yourself some time and energy, I would not recommend doing business with this firm. Let’s see if I receive my deposit this month or next month.

Poor, poor, poor ... more details to come. Super annoyed with how they handle vendor payments after closing. I need to calm down before I write my review to keep the expletives down.

Its amazing how one person in an organization can make it difficult for clients. First off, It’s hard to get in contact with any at this firm. I had to call at least 6 times a day just to get one answer. The receptionist is rude and very uninformed.When she finally answered the phone she had an attitude as if I inconvenienced her. She cut me off every chance she could and was very condescending. I’ve closed hundreds of real estate transactions in Atlanta and I’ve never had to deal with this. First impressions are very important and I’m not happy at all. I’ve read their core commitments and from my perspective not everyone is courteous to all parties in the transaction, communication is subpar, and not everyone demonstrates a positive attitude. I’m not sure if I would close here again.

I retained David to assist me in receiving primary residency and decision making for my son. Years before, I hired a different law firm and they left many stones unturned. David was knowledgeable, thorough, dedicated, hardworking, kind, and successful in helping me. He helped to clean up the mess of my previous law firm and succeeded in giving my son the best possible future. I highly recommend retaining David as your attorney if you need legal assistance in family law. He is worth it!
