I had the experience of working with The Baer Law Firm. After being involved in an automobile accident. The at fault driver hit me from behind and knocked me into another vehicle that totaled my vehicle. This accident happened 12/21/2021 after being referred to the Baer Law Firm , Bryan and his staff were very concerned showed up and took my case. I live in Rural, Georgia. Bryan Baer actually came to visit me, which meant a lot to me. First he gained my respect. He genuinely cared for me and my sister that was a passenger in my car. Bryan and his team have been a true blessing to me and my family. In 2018, my family and I left Florida due to the continuous threat of hurricanes, as well as extreme heat. We wanted a change. Well, when we got to Georgia, the storms seemed to follow...at least one storm did. In 2020, a tropical storm from the Gulf pummeled its way up to our area of Metro Atlanta and caused wind damage that led to water intrusion. We immediately contacted our insurance carrier who responded just as quickly. They came to the house, wrote up an estimate, and sent a check out within a few days. We were impressed with their response time and thankful that we would have the funds to repair the damage that was caused. Well, our impressions changed when we saw what the actual payment was. We were told that only our floor needed to be repaired. That it just needed to be sanded and refinished. This is where we knew we'd be fighting. Our floor is not hardwood that can be sanded, but rather laminate. They never acknowledged the water intrusion, nor did they attempt to inspect further for it, and therefore had no reason to respond to our accusation of bad faith practice. We had several estimates done by various construction companies, as well as air quality reports done which showed that mold was present due to the water intrusion from the storm. We made every effort to keep our house from further damage by making any repairs that we could with the ridiculously minimal insurance claim payment we received, and pretty much begged that we could be payed more to actually repair rather than patch. We were at a total loss and didn't feel that we'd ever win. I researched what other options were and found out that we had only 2 years to file any type of suit against the insurance carrier. This was devastating. We realized that this is why our insurance kept us struggling...so that we would eventually give up the fight, or pass the statute of limitations that would end any fight we had. We said prayers and just searched as quickly as we could for a lawyer who would be willing to take our case with such a short time period left to file suit. The prayers were answered. Bryan happened to return our call one late afternoon to listen to our story and share his own experiences with cases like ours. He was straight up honest with the minimal chances we had to win our case, and pretty much stated that if we would win...it would most likely not be as much as what he believed we deserved. All in all, it would most likely not make Bryan that much either, especially seeing as he would need to take our case on a contingency basis...we didn't have the money to pay an hourly fee! We thought he may just offer us some suggestions and wish us good luck, but that is the total opposite of what he did. Bryan asked me to gather any documents and correspondence that I could find, and get it to him as soon as possible seeing as we only had a little over one week to file a lawsuit! I started to cry. This turned our whole outlook on things positive, knowing that we had someone who would fight for the innocent who were scammed by an insurance company that says they proudly protect what means the most to their customers. Through the process, Bryan would email, text, and even make after hours phone calls to share updates. I was perplexed at times that he would do this. Even though it took several months for the carrier to concede, Bryan was able to win our case out of court with a $50,000 settlement! There is no way to thank Bryan and his team enough for what they did for us. He shows compassion for his clients that is so obviously sincere, and has me and my family's respect for a lifetime!
