Unfortunately, this review is related to a horrible referral. I understand there can be bad lawyers like there can be bad doctors, but I wouldn't have believed it until now. I went to Erin Krinsky under the referral of Michael Cohen (whom I contacted originally for legal assistance). My case was very straightforward, but if any time she felt that she couldn't help me, she should have informed me. She was extremely responsive until she got my money. Once she got my money, she was increasingly more difficult to reach. I had to seek her out for updates and there were a few times where I had to contact Michael Cohen, the lawyer who referred me to her, to find her. She always had excuses. When we finally had our court date, she showed up disheveled and very unprofessional appearing. The opposing council asked for a continuance and she obliged, we had not discussed it at all. She stated if he asked again, she would say no. For our 2nd court date, I was on my way, and I text her to confirm the location. While en route, she said I didn't have to show up. I believed her because....why wouldn't I? Weeks later, still no reaponse from her. So I took it upon myself to go searching on the Magistrate website. It said that I was a "no show" and the case was closed. When I called the court to clarify, they said, "Why would your lawyer tell you that? That was horrible advice." When I finally got ahold of Erin, she said that is not what the judge told her and that she was waiting to hear back. The court's server was hacked I believe, shortly after that. She responded 2 times over several months and multiple requests for updates. I most recently went online about 1 month ago....Servers were back up, case is still closed and to this day I have not heard back from her despite several attempts. Outside of maybe an occasional disgruntled food service worker, I have NEVER seen this level of unprofessionalism, and it is nauseating to me that people like this are allowed to practice law. Thank God, my freedom wasn't in her hands.

I hired Mr Cohen to handle my landlord tenant eviction case. He seemed to be very kind, patient and easy to relate to. At the end of the day he outsourced my case to a rude , short temper attorney, who treated me like a pro bono client

I had problems with the apartment complex that I was living in from 2017-2018, Erica mrg. Was crazy, she did a walk out inspection with me and MSG: Baisden and then stated that everything was good, but the carpet had foot traffic just in the the areas where you get in and out of your bed. And she stated that my unit wasn't supposed to have had carpet in it and I told her that I know, thats what I was told by The assistant Mrg. Before I moved in. But the bottom line is Attorney Cohen had to handle this issue for me and I am grateful that he did. Thank you so much

After receiving a disspossory notice from “The Slum-Lords of Buckhead,” I began researching reputable attorneys in my area. I was fortunate to find Michael J. Cohen on AVVO. I called his office expecting to leave a message, but to my surprise, he answered. He and I spoke briefly about my situation and, the options I had available. At the close of our conversation, I hired Michael on the spot. Honestly, if I hadn’t found him at that time, I’m unsure if I would have been capable of communicating effectively with anyone else. I was #emotionallydrained
Throughout this process, I’ve felt like a priority. I can depend on Michael to respond to my concerns regarding the matter honestly and promptly. Although my case is ongoing, Michael J. Cohen has been professional, considerate, and kind. The level of service I’ve received is worthy of 10 Stars. That’s why I wholeheartedly recommend Michael J. Cohen to represent you too.

Michael is truly dedicated to making sure that his client receives the best possible outcome. He worked out a negotiation for our family in a extremely difficult situation, with a landlord. Another great thing is you are able to speak with him directly, rather than an assistant or paralegal. We are very pleased with his work. He works hard for his clients. Fantastic attorney and wonderful person.Highly recommended.

From first contact, I was certain Mr. Cohen would be the best attorney to assist with my landlord tenant matter. Although, my case wasn't overly complicated and I wish I waited to use his services for my second time around with my landlord, of course he filed yet another merit less suit in an attempt to bully me, I didn't want to go into court under prepared because I don't have much to any knowledge regarding GA landlord tenant law and I wasn't certain what tricks my landlord was up to. Short and long story, my landlord likes to embellish facts with no supports and Micheal saw through it ( this may be slightly bias since I was his client :). ) and attempted to resolve the matter through discussion to no avail. In the end before Mr. Cohen or I had could even address the court my landlords case was dismissed without merits since he secured and kept my rent. Honestly, Micheal assured me all the worrying I was doing about the first hearing was all over nothing but with the year I've been having, I can't really leave anything to chance. #OverPreparer Thanks Mr. Cohen for your support and knowledge you've brought to my initial issue and maybe I'll have the same success the second time around.

I called Michael because I'm a 22 year old in a bad lease environment (so it is my first rodeo). My apartment has some issues that make it dangerous for my health, and I called Michael to see what I should do. He gave me some legal advice (at no cost) and didn't try to sell himself.
He was honest and told me when a lawyer should intervene in my process and what I should do when I'm threatened by the complex. If things escalate, I will definitely call Michael. Thank you so much!

I was facing an eviction matter with The Life at Pine Village East Apartments after living there for over 12 years. From the very first time Mr Cohen picked up the phone he was very professional and began positive counsel. I knew before we'd even gotten 5 minutes into our call that i was retaining him. I immediately paid His retainer. An he made immediate notification to the courts of his representing me. He kept me in the loop the entire process, and answered all of my questions about how the process works and would play out. He didn't promise me any "Pie in the sky" results. He was very honest and forthright as to what to realistically expect as to the nature of how my case was to be handled. I'd asked about potential counter suit info, which we'd advised very honestly that I'd wind up spending a lot of unnecessary money trying to pursue that avenue. The end result was tht Mr. Cohen had gotten all late fees, legal fees, and dispossessory fess dropped/waived and more time to pay for both Aug and Sept rent. I wouldn't recommend going into any landlord tenent situation without his representation. He is an excellent attorney with a plethora of experience whom will advise you of the best course of action pertaining to your individual situation. I'd use him again in half a heartbeat, and recommend him to anyone needing an experienced attorney in a landlord/tenant situation.

Worst attorney to represent a landlord. He completely was not prepared nor did he fight for my rights under GA law for a landlord. The law is clear if tenants do not pay, they need to pay or vacate. I needed them to do both. I had free loading tenants living in my deceased father's home who had not paid rent. Tenants knew living there was a temp arrangement. After the owner died, they were asked to vacate so that home could be inventoried and put on market for sale. This attorney has jeopardize the only asset my father has due to the financial burden these tenants have created by living in the home for 2 months without paying rent. It was known that there is no money in the estate and property must be sold. I must show property to potential buyers to get sold asap. However, tenants made demands that I would only be able to come to my property upon 48 notice via attorney. (What??)
After attorney agreed to this rule, I was confused and thought this was the law. However, after researching on my own, I learned GA does not have a status on a time notification when a landlord may enter property. I thought my attorney would have objected and rejected this request from tenants knowing I have to sale property. Since the tenants lived at property, I have always given them 24 hour notice if I was showing property to real estate agents and to potential buyers. As Administrator of this estate, I must show property to potential buyers because of the financial hardship on the estate. There is no money coming in and bills have to be paid. I was sworn and took an oath to inventory, secure and protect my late father's assets. I have not been able to properly do this with tenants there. I got no support from this attorney to speak up and allow me to do this. This has been a very emotional situation for my family who have wanted to be at property during this time to grieve our loved one and have closure. These tenants took advantage of situation in which they preyed on the grieving family by taking over home and trying to stay as squatters. They have not respected the deceased belongings or items in home as made home filthy. I had hoped hiring this attorney would have given me guidance and advice to help protect my property from tenants, get rent collected with 7 day move out date. I had a goal that hiring an experienced attorney would fight on my behalf to recoup my filing fees, my backed owed rent, as well as negotiating tenants vacating in 7 days instead of giving them 3 additional weeks while collecting no rent, restricting me from showing property while expecting me to continue to cover all utilities. It's been Unbelievable! If you are an inexperienced first time landlord, it is better to save your money, the headache and negotiate yourself than risk the poor legal representation as I experienced.
