While the divorce system is basically broke and the attorneys will always win. Barbara was the worst.... She drained all money that was given to her and when fired she made sure she burned through every nickel in the last several days. She was terrible and unprepared in court and had no idea of who I was or what was being said or done in the courts. I have dealt with the legal system in my business(s) for many decades and she is quite possibly the worst I have had to deal with. I wish I would not have hired her and hope someone else does not make the same mistake I made.
And of the several attorneys I hired Ms. Keon was the most expensive even though she was the shortest duration of representation and accomplished the least. Again, the system is broke - by design. Ms. Keon does not help the cause.

Barbara Keon represented me in my divorce. Throughout this long process, she remained extremely professional and caring. Barbara knew every small detail of my case, knew the laws that applied to my case and was always very well prepared. She is talented, experienced, and practices with high integrity. Barbara Keon was my lawyer in divorce proceedings that resulted in a court hearing, judge's ruling and in a repeat case 2 years later. She was always professional and by letting me be very involved in the research, collection of information and decisions on approach to the case saved me money and built up my confidence and self esteem which was at a low ebb. I always felt that she was looking out for my best interest and could not have been happier with the outcome. Years later we are still in contact and I cannot thank her and her office enough for their work.

Divorce is such a difficult time. You are leaving a relationship where you have been harmed and are left with the feelings of abuse, distrust, betrayal, and regrets. At one of the lowest points in my life, Barbara Keon was a ‘God send’. I like to give positive personal referrals to professionals I deal with, and Barbara Keon is one professional I strongly recommend.
Ms. Keon is exactly what I was looking for and in actuality far exceeded my expectations. She took on my divorce case as it was being forced to an unacceptable, inequitable, and premature end. The services I received were of the highest quality. I needed an honest and ethical attorney with the integrity and communication skills to help me understand my realistic legal options and the possible outcome scenarios at the late stage of my complicated divorce. Barbara and her outstanding staff consistently under promised and over delivered, all the while keeping me informed of any updates in my case. I was actually treated as a valued client and not as a one time revenue source. Throughout this process, Barbara kept me informed of her fair and reasonable billing estimates to help me make informed and economical decisions. There was never a single billing surprise.
Each step taken in my case was carefully researched and the next step strategically planned and actions methodically taken based on the current situation while never losing sight of the long term goal. Because of Barbara's experience, knowledge, and ability to stay focused on our agreed upon strategy, she was able to take what seemed to be an almost ‘hopeless case’ to a point at which the divorce case is over and the last few loose ends neatly tied. I will be forever grateful to Ms. Keon for taking on my case, her hard work, perseverance, and knowledge of the law. My only regret is that I did not hire Barbara earlier in the divorce process. I showed up in court in a wheelchair back in early February of 2020. I had been going back and forth with the roofing company that put a lien on my home after they failed to uphold the commitments made in our contract. I suffered multiple strokes in those two years, and I could barely catch my breath long enough to argue my case effectively that day in court. While exiting the courtroom Attorney Gibson handed me her card and told me to give her a call. From the moment she handed me that card Attorney Gibson completely took over and handled the situation for me. I never had to lift a finger because she took care of it all. Today my matter is resolved and the lien is removed from my home. Thank you GLF!

Goes well beyond the normal duties provided by most attorneys. Provides counsel based on helping improve your business by finding a way to get the job done. Has a positiive attitude towards accomplishing the objective. Does not list all the reasons why you cannot do something.
In addition to providing wise and sage counsel, he helps coach my small business. His 13 years of experience, including combat experience, as an officer in the Marine Corps provides a unique understanding of how to incorporate and integrate his advice into practice within my company, as opposed to just telling me what to do. That is, my people really look forward to hearing how he can help them and my business.
For example, in order for my business to survive, the government dictated that we had to become self regulated by joining the old NASD. We did not even know what that meant. Every other attorney, and the NASD told us it was impossible for us to join. The fact that we did not trade securities, by definition, prohibited us from joining the National Association of Securities Dealers, a non governmental self regulated organization.
Not only did he help us to become a member of the NASD, he held our hand through the entire process. He did everything from coaching our traders on the floor to sit beside us and fielded all questions in our interviews in Washington DC and Atlanta GA.
He drafted and implemented all procedures required to accomplish the result. He even used his network to contact the chairman of the commission.
