Attorney Sharma and his team are great people to work with. They answered all our questions related to the process very patiently. At every step of our process, they were very kind and helpful to explain the details of the process thoroughly. They were very methodical in their approach - in listing the checklist of documents and everything. In my opinion, I would definitely recommend Attorney Sharma for any of your future needs!

When it came to applying for Naturalization my wife decided to hire Mr. Asheesh Sharma. He did process her Permanent Redidence Card/ adnustment of Status too i 2012. She had a number of stays outside of US and one lasting more than 6 months. Aftering enquiring of the reasons of her travels, Mr. Asheesh's expert advice was to apply for Naturalization. When she got the calm for interview, Mr. Asheesh guided her properly and correctly through a mock interview session. As a result she could face the interview very confidiently and she was successfull. For last 15 years Mr. Asheesh is handling immigration matters for my daughter, my wife and myself with trust and satisfaction. He is most dependable for any immigration services. After working with many law firms in multiple industries in the past, we’re very thrilled to say that working with Asheesh and Liliana at Sharma Law Offices has been one of the best - if not THE BEST - legal experience we’ve ever had the pleasure of receiving. Asheesh has been the only immigration attorney (yes, we actually had to fire one years before) who has given us not just enough time to talk things through and understand our personal circumstances, but also gave all his attention and care while advising us as to how to proceed forward with the process. We went ahead and began the process with Sharma Law Offices to obtain my IR1 Visa. In the summer of 2016, my husband and my father-in-law rendezvoused in the area with a goal in mind of seeking out the best immigration firm we could find. We decided that we would do “walk ins” to see how we were received by doing so without any appointment. After being turned away at some agencies, passed around at other office, finally we came upon Sharma Law Offices. We walked in during normal business hours, and were very pleased at how well we were received. We were asked to sit in the conference area while we awaited Asheesh, the attorney. He joined us, and we have a pleasant thirty minute or so conversation about our situation and some questions that we had that were intended to help us feel more comfortable with the process. As expected, the process does take some time, and is inevitably quite complex. All of us involved knew well beforehand the level of stress that may occur throughout this process. Just as many families going through similar immigrant applications, we constantly had a lot of questions and concerns; things we wanted cleared up in our own minds to better rest at night. Whether we emailed or called, we were never left waiting or wondering as to what was going on and why it was going on. We always receive prompt and concise answers. I’d imagine based on our own experiences in this process, that this would be very important to people - as lack of communication can be a huge point of stress. This simply wasn’t a worry when working with Asheesh and Liliana. Our process continued from beginning to end almost verbatim as Asheesh said it would. There were some unknown unknowns that popped up along the way, but were quickly dealt with and the process continued virtually seamlessly all the way to completion. We were within our projected completion time within a few weeks - exactly as we though from the onset. All in all, we’d highly recommend this firm to anyone needing immigration services, as we’re first-hand proof of highly satisfied and thankful customers.

I consulted Mr. Sharma for my green card condition removal. He is very straight forward and very Honest attorney. He gave me his honest opinion about my petition. He is very knowledgeable. I got my application approved without any RFE or issues. Have you seen a lawyer reduces his fees after reviewing your application? Mr. Sharma reduced $200 after reviewing my application. He gave his honest opinion and told me that your application seems pretty straight forward and reduced his fees. I went to Weinstock Immigration Lawyers before I met Mr. Asheesh and my experience with Raju Patel at Weinstock was horrible. I am glad that I met Mr. Sharma. After my experience with him I can tell that all the reviews on his google profile are genuine. Initially I thought that how come he has all the Five Star reviews but trust me guys If I could I would give him 5 million stars. He is Honest, responsive, knowledgeable, reliable, trustworthy and moreover his fees is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Mr. Sharma to my friends any family.

I showed up in court in a wheelchair back in early February of 2020. I had been going back and forth with the roofing company that put a lien on my home after they failed to uphold the commitments made in our contract. I suffered multiple strokes in those two years, and I could barely catch my breath long enough to argue my case effectively that day in court. While exiting the courtroom Attorney Gibson handed me her card and told me to give her a call. From the moment she handed me that card Attorney Gibson completely took over and handled the situation for me. I never had to lift a finger because she took care of it all. Today my matter is resolved and the lien is removed from my home. Thank you GLF!

Ms. Gibson has helped my client (a startup company) with several immigration issues in regards to securing visas for our employees. Ms. Gibson was always helpful, quick to respond, and did not mind explaining the nuances of immigration law. I will definitely use Ms. Gibson's services again.

Goes well beyond the normal duties provided by most attorneys. Provides counsel based on helping improve your business by finding a way to get the job done. Has a positiive attitude towards accomplishing the objective. Does not list all the reasons why you cannot do something. In addition to providing wise and sage counsel, he helps coach my small business. His 13 years of experience, including combat experience, as an officer in the Marine Corps provides a unique understanding of how to incorporate and integrate his advice into practice within my company, as opposed to just telling me what to do. That is, my people really look forward to hearing how he can help them and my business. For example, in order for my business to survive, the government dictated that we had to become self regulated by joining the old NASD. We did not even know what that meant. Every other attorney, and the NASD told us it was impossible for us to join. The fact that we did not trade securities, by definition, prohibited us from joining the National Association of Securities Dealers, a non governmental self regulated organization. Not only did he help us to become a member of the NASD, he held our hand through the entire process. He did everything from coaching our traders on the floor to sit beside us and fielded all questions in our interviews in Washington DC and Atlanta GA. He drafted and implemented all procedures required to accomplish the result. He even used his network to contact the chairman of the commission. We did not trade any

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Atlanta, Georgia?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
