Seeking out an wrongful death attorney is not something anyone has on their “to do” list but unfortunately it became the item foremost on my “to do” list. We have jobs, family, hobbies, commitments, so the last thing we want, is to add something to our “to do” list. It is a strange journey, uncomfortable, challenging, time consuming, physically exhausting but all the while your primary concern is understanding and rectifying the wrong that your family member has experienced. I felt it was absolutely necessary to take action and find the right people to represent my case. John and Carla Mabrey stood by my side through the whole process (2 years) with support, understanding and the knowledge to find the root cause. They were relentless in their efforts, putting their own agendas aside to focus on the case. They were forthright, keeping me informed and helping me prepare for what is required in due process. You may or may not get all of your questions answered but they will certainly do everything they can possibly do within the legal system to bring your case to justice. I was put under the impression that Mr. Mabrey was going to take my case but that he could not work on it for a couple of weeks because he had an important trial case going on. I stopped looking for a lawyer and was then sent a letter 2 weeks later stating that he would not be working my case. His secretary, Liz, is phenomenal and I loved speaking with her. He was also courteous by informing me of why he was not accepting my case, but I lost 2 weeks thinking he would be my lawyer.
