Got referred to Jackie by a retired detective, which said he hated having to get on the stand to testify when Jackie was the defense lawyer, so I called him up. The first thing I asked Jackie was are you willing to take my case to trial bc I will not accept any type of plea deal? He responds I'm a criminal defense trial lawyer and that's exactly what I do. That's all I needed to know and he was hired. The bogus charges they tried to pin on me got dropped after figuring out we were not going to take any type of plea. Jackie never waivered on taking it to trial and always stood his ground on fighting the case for me. This is probably the only lawyer I have seen here in Troup county that wasn't afraid to take the prosecutors office head on and not buy into their plea deals that they are always trying to offer.
