I'm a current client and I have been alienated from my daughter for 10 years I finally see a light at the end of this tunnel and I have hope for the future with my daughter any anonymous reviews on here are cruel my ex hit me with a tpo to try to use the system as a last resort he immediately addressed this and will be at court with me .....great great man

Mr. Akin and his team handled my divorce case quickly and professionally. I was kept updated on any changes. Im grateful for the advice and the hard work that was put into my case and would highly recommend for any of your needs.

I can not explain how bad this guy is. He would never return my call. He was always late for everything. He gave the judge the wrong info and made it look like i was a vindictive father. Then when the case was over he brushed me off like i was a nobody!

I never felt like they took care of my needs,questions etc. All they seemed to care about was collecting that next draw. Absolute disgusting people from the staff to Gerald himself. And then will respond to this very review with lies about me and my case as he did on google. Not sure how this guy got his law degree.

This man and his office did a wonderful job for me. Honest and kept me informed every step of the way . Reasonable and respectful of me and my situation .... I question any anonymous negative reviews -sounds like the losing side of his clients to me. Like my ex who lost against Mr Akin. Over the months I never saw anyone he represented displeased with the results . He gets good results. Maybe they just want to trash someone they lost to.... or someone they stiffed paying for his great representation .. He's good. Me and my friends recommend him highly .

Mr Akin went the extra mile on my case whenever my ex filed frivilous petitions - and we win at every level. Even worked with me on my fee and didn't charge for several hours. Experienced and accessible. Professional at every turn. Highly recommend !!

I found them (Attorney and Assistant) unresponsive unless a payment was due. There were several instances of extremely unprofessional behavior. The trauma of my divorce was made worse by having to deal with them. They added no value to the case. Would not recommend. Rather pay a few hundred dollars more.

10 years ago with my divorce I didn't know what he was doing all I know is I wanted a divorce .. I didnt know I had sole custody , I asked my ex husband to sign our daughters passport and he refused , mind you I only looked at my divorce papers this year because I needed the dates for my current husbands va comp.....Well with me getting sole custody of my child I didn't need my ex husband and , she is able to travel overseas,, (my parents live in Abu-dabi ) .. Mr. Akin told me years ago that my ex husband would not help me , he was so right he still don't help and has not even seen her , she is about to be 12.... I'm so thankful for this lawyer

He was very good at getting the ball rolling for my divorce / custody case. There were many complications with getting things started and I felt that he handled them very well. As things progressed and started to stagnate, I almost sensed a loss of enthusiasm for my case. Much of the lull was do to inaction on the part of my former spouse's lawyer. Even though this was the case, i felt like I was constantly being told to "wait a while to see what happens". In the end, my results were fair and the price was fair as well. Unless you are looking for a very aggressive attorney, I have no reason to not recommend Gerald Akin.

Gets down to business. Doesn't give the run around at all. Rates are better than most, and he gets the job done. His assistant is also very helpful and knowledgable.
