Wonderful experience! Mr Nation is very invested in his clients. Kind, great listener, poignant adviser. I couldn't have had better representation if I wanted to! If you are searching for legal counsel who is right there with you on your frequency, I cannot speak to the additional attorneys at this firm as we had no interaction, however, I can speak for Michael Nation. He's awesome!

Attorney Russel Moore is awesome! He is the exception to what’s out there. He is responsive. I guarantee you if you leave a message, he will call you back. He is honest. If he can provide his service, he will. If he can’t, he will tell you. His price is reasonable. He treats you as a person and takes your case seriously. He is mild mannered and very patient. He went above and beyond with me. I still call him for legal advice and will use his services again. Thanks Attorney Russel for who you are and giving us hope that there are still some decent attorneys out there. God bless you!

Mr. LaMalva was very reasonable in all his information towards the current situation with my son and told it in a very Layman's manner. Never once did he show any disconnecrn in this particular case. I would highly recommend his Law firm to anyone. Thumbs up. His long term experience in Law really showed. Thank you.

David is a cool, knowledgeable guy. When I first met him he was very down to Earth, told me like it was concerning my charges, but was confident. I try to do the best I can in life, and the right thing, but I made a stupid mistake, it seems everyone does at some point. Well, David went the route to show the courts who I really was, and the context of the incident, as opposed to just discussing the charge. This favorably affected their ultimate decisions regarding my case. Give David a call, meet with him or chat on the phone. Legal representation is ultimately your personal decision, not based just on an online review but, if you meet or talk and think you may like him and/or trust him, than I hope you can take it from me to confirm; he’s a good guy and knows what he’s doing. Good luck

My husband and I met Mr. Crowe a couple of years ago when my husband was involved in a hit and run accident on his Harley Davidson. Someone hit him and left him laying in the road. I contacted a random attorney that I googled in Conyers, GA where we live. I explained to him what had taken place and shared my concerns with him regarding all of the medical bills that we were facing and all of the Doctor's appointments and physical therapy appointments that we were looking at. From the very beginning, Mr. Crowe was helpful and walked us through everything that we were dealing with. He was so knowledgeable and agreed to meet with us immediately. He even drove out to our home. A lot of Attorneys are arrogant and are only interested in high dollar cases. I never got that feeling from Mr. Crowe. The name of the Law Office that he practices at is Tolliver and Gainer. They are located in old town Conyers. The entire staff has always been friendly and helpful. They make you feel like family right away. Mr. Crowe was able to obtain compensation for my husbands injury even though the person that hit him left the scene of the accident. Piggy backing on the review above, I have nothing but positive feedback for this Attorney and I will recommend his services to all of my family, friends and co-workers. Mr. Crowe is a family man and very involved in our community. He does not act like he is better then anyone and he is very dependable and knowledgeable. He maintained contact with us constantly and even gave us his personal cell phone number. My personal experience with Mr. Crowe and his firm is that he made me feel like our case was the most important case that he was handling at all times. I hope that this helps you to make a decision about who you would like to represent you or your loved one. I promise that you will not regret it.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Conyers, Georgia?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
