I was somewhat happy with the overall handling of my case. Did not get the settlement amount that we were going for. I was not willing to wait another 3 years for it to go to court to get what I was asking. I was with Conoscienti and Ledbetter for 2 years. First attorney, quite her firm and I did not want to stay with the firm. But in all fairness Covid did play a hugh roll in the wait. The defendant also could not be located after a while. And I had to pay for finding her, and also for a mediator don't think that was fair since nothing was accomplished with that meeting. But overall I'm glad it's over and done. Mr.Ledbetter was very kind and very knowledgeable.

Highly Competent and Dedicated

On Friday, March 17, 2023 my baby son turned 20 years old and that same day we received a phone call that he was incarcerated at Fannin County jail. We never heard of this county but it was known as a great tourist location with cabins. We visited our son Sunday March 19, 2023 we found out this is a small county that the majority of the population is Caucasian, we knew we had to find a lawyer that was about their business. My daughter google some lawyers in Georgia and she was determined for us to call She Law Firm. On our way home from the visit we phone Attorney Ross and she answered the phone in the middle of the day on a Sunday. We did the consultation over the phone and fell in love with her, she made us feel like we were talking to a sister/aunt about our son. She informed us up front that Fannin County is not a county for blacks but she was willing to accept the case for the fight. Three months into all of this me and my husband started to fell uneasy about our decision because we felt like nothing was being done, denied bonds, no communication, no updates, and money was getting tight. Being parents that has never had to deal with lawyers or jail for no reason not even traffic violation we were frustrated and wanted answers. After our conversation with Attorney Ross, she made us aware that even though we don't see/hear anything her and her staff were working trying to get this county to communicate with them. In August we went from denied bond and no court date to court date, bond hearing, and trial all in a 2 week time frame. We started to get nervous because everything started to move so fast so we continued to pray for the best but was planning for the worst. Our son started to sound drained and uncertain on the phone and said he didn't know if we needed to come to court August 7, 2023 but he would call us that morning of court. No call from him or Attorney Ross so my nerves and anxiety level was all over the place, after praying and praising my Lord God, the phone rung and Attorney Ross was calling to update us about the outcome of the case. She explained to me that before court she had a crisis, her car stop working so she had to leave it on the side of the road, bum a ride from a complete stranger, hour and half late for court, and was told they were going to reschedule court since she was so late. She didn't back down to the room full of testosterone and they decided to have court after all. After 20 minutes of talking to Attorney Ross, someone from Blue Ridge jail was calling I wanted to hang up on her but I asked if I could put her on hold and she said No I want to hear what they are saying. I merged the call and the bailiff was calling to let me know that my baby was being released. This my story my encounter with Attorney Ross and I wouldn't change anything about it. We never know why things happened but I can truly say the prolong court dates and denied bond hearing was all in the plan of the most high. My son needed this time to slow him down and to get closer to God. I would like to thank Attorney Ross and her staff for their compassion, patience, loyalty, and their hard work. Attorney Ross is like a quiet storm the wind will blow just enough to where you can see leaves move, the sky will get dark, wind start blowing so hard that trees are leaning over, stuff blowing everywhere, and then it's calm again. After the storm my baby was standing on the steps of the jail at 9pm waiting on us to come from Alabama, 10 charges dismissed, probation, no jail time, community service with restitution and fees. Thank God along with Attorney Ross my baby is home and I was given the best 21st Wedding Anniversary, after she fought so hard she decided to bless us one more time and we will forever be grateful. I would recommend her to anyone that is in need of a compassionate attorney. One thing for certain she is a child of God and it shows regardless how you may come at her she will continue to stay professional BUT she will give you a nice/nasty response and continue to fight for her client.
