Max and the Porchlight team are incredible. When I came to Porchlight, I was nervous about what the divorce process would be like and scared of what my legal fees would be. Max put me at ease immediately in our initial consultation, laying out what the process is like and telling me about the flat-fee billing method used at Porchlight. At every stage, I felt like my case was in good hands. Max and the team communicate at every step of the way. I hope you never need a divorce lawyer, but if you do, I'd highly recommend Porchlight.

My experience with Porchlight Law and Max Ruthenberg-Marshall was excellent. This is the first time I have utilized the services of an attorney so I was apprehensive to start. She was very patient with me, eased some of my concerns, and explained when I had questions. She also followed up with me when I was dragging my feet on some activities. I also really liked the portal they use for sharing and reviewing documents. I would trust Max to represent me well in the future should I need her services again.

I came to Max to represent me in a pre-nup. After first calling a firm that did not do free consults, I was pleased to know she does a free consult. When you are very new to legal needs it helps to have a free consult to gain your bearings. I also learned to think of a pre-nup as more than a division of assets, but a way to protect my business as mine. She was accessible and efficient and I'd recommend her to anyone needing Family Law Services!

We are so happy we found Max. My wife and I hired her when I was just a couple of months pregnant for two purposes- for my wife’s name change (we were married before it was legal everywhere so the name change process was more in-depth) and in anticipation of doing a step parent/second parent adoption when our kiddo was born, to make sure our family was fully protected. Max’s communication was always prompt, professional, and friendly, and she made sure all our ducks were appropriately in a row. The process itself was lengthy just with how slow the court moves but Max always made sure we were updated with what was happening. We will always be grateful for her patience and professionalism.

I utilized Max's services for my divorce of my first marriage and she was so caring and considerate through the whole process. This was my first time doing something like this. Max was an absolute dream to work with during what was a very stressful time for me, being charged with contempt from my ex-husband.
