Melissa is a very nice person and pleasant to be around. The results she obtained in the court room, however, were very one-sided and not in her/our favor. Opposing counsel was able to represent their client in a favorable light which was not in any way challenged by Melissa. Melissa did not seem to have a strategy to win or get a fair division of assets in the case. Melissa did she seem to get herself personally invested in the outcome. She did seem to be herself, or have her client, ready to put her client in a position to obtain an equitable divorce.

Divorce is tough. Very tough. I am so happy that I chose Meriwether & Tharp to help me navigate through my divorce. Melissa was phenomenal. She was responsive, empathetic, honest and transparent. Without exception, she told me the TRUTH instead of what I wanted to hear. There were no surprises. Over the months of working through and to the divorce, I came to trust her completely. Even through some complications, she reassured me while also being honest. Our approach was low-conflict and this remained important to me throughout the process. However, Melissa remained a serious advocate for me and provided me with a gentle nudge (or even a not-so-gentle but encouraging shove) when I needed it. She came to know when I needed one or the other. I remain grateful for this. Melissa always found time to respond and was profoundly patient with me. Again, divorce is tough but I hate to think of what it would have been without Melissa and the team at M&T including Kelly, Allison, Madison and all of the folks at M&T. Thank you!!!!

Melissa was with me every step of the way during a very difficult time. She was very professional and responsive...my divorce was finalized in a timely manner and she was always there to answer my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend Melissa!

Ms. Bowman did an amazing job with my divorce. She took what seemed impossible and overwhelming to making it something that was achievable and doing so in a very efficient yet sensitive manner. She was quickly responsive to questions and emails which helped me stay calm during this time. She was on top of it from the beginning and did not let things get drug out and take longer than necessary. Her staff was always supportive, responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Melissa assisted us with a prenuptial agreement. Everything was very professional and straight forward. She listened to my requests during the initial meeting and those were accurately reflected in the agreement. Her attention to detail was outstanding and she does what she's going to do, when she say's she'll do it. You can count on Melissa for excellent representation.
