Mr. Porter came highly recommended to me from another attorney well-known in Atlanta. I was told I needed the best out in Gwinnett to help me defend myself if I had any hope of clearing my name and not facing jail time. I found that expertise in Mr. Porter and knew I wanted him to represent me the minute our initial consultation ended. During that initial consultation, all he asked of me was to be honest with him. I refused to plead guilty, as this was a second charge for something I was currently on probation for in a different county. All odds were against me due to the fact I "implied guilt". Mr. Porter did not beat around the bush. He did not make me feel like he could work magic and make this disappear. His honesty regarding the severity of the punishment I faced was almost scary, yet appreciated. He reminded me his job was not to lie to me and he was in my corner, and if I hired him, he would hear me out and hunt down any lead he could that would back up my innocent plea. This is an understatement, but, he delivered. Not only was his work ethic and professionalism outstanding, it was his ability to level with me as human being that was that ended up meaning the most. This is something I did not know lawyers had in them. I could call him with a million "what if" questions that consumed my mind while awaiting my court date and he would talk to me about it all. I am sure my calls were beyond trivial but if they were he never made me feel like a burden. He knows what he is doing and is extremely willing to find proof needed to clear your name. He delivered results I did not even imagine possible. He took the stress off of me, did his homework and because of that dedication, he cleared my name as it should have been. I would recommend Mr. Porter to anyone. I will be forever thankful for his hard work and for seeing me as a person and not just a case number.
