I hired Rebecca McLaws as my divorce attorney. I knew my case would be extremely complex. Rebecca is compassionate, honest, thorough in a courtroom and very detailed! She kept me informed of all my options and explained the process in a manner I could understand. I’ve been so impressed with her and her character, I would absolutely hire her as my attorney again, if needed for any reason. I would HIGHLY recommend her practice! She is the epitome of professionalism and has definitely earned my respect. Rebecca and Rosalyn are a perfect team! I not only feel as if I'm a client - but a true friendship that has evolved from me pouring out my life history!! From the first consult with Rebecca I felt her comfort. I can't say ENOUGH about this firm! I’m VERY grateful!!

I would not recommend working with McLaw’s Law Group. My experience was marred by several communication breakdowns and a lack of professionalism from both Rebecca and her paralegal, Rosalyn. Divorce is challenging, and while there are no winners, a competent attorney can help their client feel more confident and secure throughout the process. To be fair, I will outline both the positives and negatives of my experience with Rebecca. Initially, Rebecca was very responsive. I did not have the funds to retain her immediately, so she kindly gave me a week to gather the money from selling my house. However, I asked Rebecca to escrow the funds from the sale into her account, but she deferred to my ex’s legal team to manage the escrow. This has since become a nightmare, making it difficult to retrieve my money. Once the case settled, I could not pick up the check from my ex’s legal team; it was sent via FedEx to Rebecca’s office, which failed to deliver it, causing further delays. Rebecca went on leave due to a death in her family without notifying me. After several unanswered emails and calls, her paralegal, Rosalyn, eventually informed me that Rebecca was out of the office. When I confronted Rebecca about the lack of communication, she blamed me for over-communicating, saying there were no updates to provide. However, I wasn't just seeking updates; I needed a timeline and next steps, which they failed to provide. During this time, I lost my car and had to rent one to meet Rebecca. After traveling an hour and fifteen minutes, I called to inform her I was running five minutes late, only to learn she wasn't in the office and had been called into emergency court the day before. Although she apologized, this incident was just one of many demonstrating their lack of professionalism and communication. This was my first divorce, and I had many questions. Given my financial situation, having a clear timeline and next steps was crucial to plan my life. I ended up losing almost everything in the divorce. Additionally, my mother and brother fell ill, prompting me to push for a settlement instead of waiting two more months for the court date. Unfortunately, the settlement process took longer than going to court would have, partly due to my ex’s lawyer, Jackie Piland, taking a week to review a document. Throughout the process, it seemed that either my legal team or my ex’s was not being truthful about the status and next steps. I expressed my diminishing confidence in Rebecca to her, and instead of reassuring me, she stated she did not want to represent a client who lacked confidence in her abilities and refused to return the retainer. If a paying client expresses doubt, the professional response would be to reassure them, not threaten to terminate the contract. Lastly, I am still facing issues retrieving the settled funds and have yet to receive a response to my emails or phone calls. Given these experiences, I cannot recommend working with Rebecca.

Rebecca has been both a miracle worker and a steadfast legal warrior for my case. I am going through a custody dispute with an extremely high conflict, irrational person. Rebecca has navigated my case with the legal savvy, expertise, and grit that my case needs. She has a fearlessness and calm that gives you the confidence you need when going through a contentious custody battle. Rebecca will not be intimidated by opposing counsel, their client nor presiding judges. I can tell Rebecca cares about me and my child. She takes the time to discuss options and strategies with me in a way that assures me that we are moving in the right direction. I would highly recommend Rebecca if you need a fantastic, caring attorney who will fight for you and your kids.

You out there! How long did it take you to connect the dots for your attoneys? How frustrated did you feel when your opposing party slandered, defamed, and manipulated evryone around you for money or a win? .. and you assumed your attorney was going to fight with the passion and fire you had inside you, right? REBECCA MCLAWS is your champion! No one else. Cobb and Fulton County Superior Courts are a mess indeed. Negative reviews about Money? Please.... You all have no idea what other attonerys have costed their clients, their families, and the collateral damage they cause. She's also fighting for the courts to do right by people.

What can I say? I went to Rebecca for help with my divorce with not a lot to piss in. He had me kicked out of our home and took all of our money. Rebecca and Rosalyn were more than willing to take my case and help me out. She went to bat for me and I will tell you it was not easy I don’t listen well and she made it known. I can say I got everything I wanted she got me more of my home and she even got me the car. She is a beast in the courtroom. You have to listen and trust her. My case went for almost 3 years and she didn’t give up on me. She is very passionate about her work and her clients. I’m very grateful to have had her as my lawyer. I didn’t have a job or a stable home. I was living in a transitional home and still was able to keep my kids and awarded Primary Custody. Let’s talk about her paralegal Rosalyn she is very sweet and she will let you know straight up. I had a bad mouth before working with them and I was quick temper, but she always talked to me and eventually I had a change of heart. When I say they care they do. She was always sympathetic and thoughtful. Thank you for that. If you are looking for a lawyer who cares about her clients and passionate about what she does. Who wants to see what’s right done this is your lawyer!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK AND HELPING MY FAMILY. The girls and I are happier then ever.

Rebecca Mclaws was an excellent lawyer, my divorce case had stalled and after it turned ugly with accusations and other things, she handled it all. She listened to my plea for help. I felt like a human being with her and she cared about my situation and told me straight up what she could do for me from the start. In the court room she surprised me even more with her professionalism and presence in the room. She took control from the moment she stood up to represent me. She got my case settled and closed extremely fast with little or not contest from the other side. she also got me more than I could have expected from the results of the case. I would highly recommend her services to any one else and I will definitely use her office in the future if I ever needed it again for any reason.

My case is still ongoing... I wish Rebecca had been my Attorney from the start, as I firmly believe my custody case would never have been dragged to this current messy stage. As an immigrant and a domestic violence survivor in the state of Georgia, I honestly thought the Family Court and its officers would provide the necessary assistance and protect survivors such as myself and any children involved. However, my experience to date has been contrary to this. From the start, my case has been crammed with various unethical practices such as corruption, bias and misconduct by my ex-husband's legal team and the court officers. These unscrupulous practices proved too challenging for my previous Attorneys, however, to date, not for Rebecca, who has confronted it with boldly. I believe God directed me to her, thus saving the BEST till last. Rebecca is an excellent lawyer with a comprehensive knowledge of family law. I say this with the utmost respect, but she is a bulldog and a wonderful advocate. She demands respect and commands the courtroom, even when the Judge in my case try to intimidate and bully her. Before Rebecca came into the picture, my previous Attorneys allowed the Judge, the opposing counsel and the GAL to take advantage of me and my situation. From the moment I started working with Rebecca, I have felt empowered and encouraged. These two words: Empowered and Encouraged are words that are not easy to write as a survivor of domestic abuse, especially in the family court. I would also like to mention her paralegal, Rosalyn, who has also been very supportive and reassuring from the start. A poignant moment for me was during my first contact with Rebecca, she asked for the picture of my daughter – who they were going to be fighting for”. Not only that, Rosalyn held my hands on the first day of the trial and said to me: “we’ve got this”. To me I am not just another client nor number to them, my case mattered, my daughter and I are both very important to the both of them. THEY TRULY CARE!! To date, working with Rebecca and Rosalyn has been incredibly easy. The passion I have observed is very encouraging and it motivates me to see this case through. I was given Rebecca’s name by a coworker who was on the receiving end of Rebecca’s aggression and found her to be a “bulldog” lawyer. I interviewed several lawyers and felt Rebecca may be a Bulldog lawyer, but was a warm and caring person who I felt comfortable with right away. She was able to ease my mind and prepare me for what was ahead. We are in the process of the settlement and I feel she will be able to help me get a great settlement! I will keep you posted.

I hired Rebecca on a recommendation from a previous attorney to represent me during a custody hearing. Throughout the whole process she was fantastic! She can hold her own against any trial attorney in Atlanta and will work hard to win your case. She is also approachable with an actual personality, so she has a great approach with her clients and I felt very comfortable with her. Honest and reasonably priced - she is a keeper!!

My original divorce attorney retired and Rebecca was who he referred me to. My divorce was final, but my ex was not paying me on time or the correct amount of alimony. Rebecca is as tough as nails and when we went to court, she did not hold back. Not only did she get the job done, it was at an affordable rate. And since we won the contempt case, I was awarded her fees form my ex. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Rebecca! ! !
