I have hired Ms. McLaws several times and also referred her to anyone I know. She is extremely effective and it shows that she loves her career.

I hired Rebecca McLaws after my now ex-husband continued to stall our divorce. It took over two years of delays from the opposing side to finally get to court. I have to admit I did not get everything I wanted. That was not Rebecca's fault. She stayed by my side through the good and the bad. I have even had to continue to call her for ongoing issues with my divorce and she gladly takes my call. Sometimes she is a little hard to reach but she always returns my call or email, even on weekends and holidays. I would recommend and/or use Rebecca again.

I met attorney Rebecca McLaws several years ago when I needed an attorney for a step-parent adoption case. Since then I have used her for several cases. She is a thorough no nonsense attorney who knows her areas of practice well! If you need an attorney that will not manipulate and will give you straight answers she is the one to call. She has handled the step-parent adoption case, a personal injury case and most recently a child support modification case for me. She has done a great job with all of these at reasonable rates! I highly recommend her practice.

By way of a summary of the case that The McLaws Law Group handled on my behalf: After my mother and the Guardian Ad Litem she hired both convinced a family court judge in Fulton County, ex parte, that my daughter should be taken from me and given over to my mother, I was in a position to have to defend myself against what can only be described as bold faced lies and normal day-to-day parenting decisions. After extensive interviews with a number of the top family law attorneys in the greater Atlanta area and an initial experience with a highly qualified family law attorney, I highly recommend Rebecca McLaws. Being an attorney myself, I understand that it is not only about knowing the law inside and out, but also being very strategic when applying such laws. Further, when practicing family law, an attorney must not only be empathetic, but remain objective enough to diffuse what are always highly charged emotional situations. Rebecca was strategic,caring, aggressive when she needed to be and, what was particularly impressive, was her ability to recall facts that even I as the client had trouble putting all together. Retaining Rebecca McLaws is the reason i have my family today. I hired her for my divorce and custody case. At the time in which she was retained, my actions had put her in a tough place for a successful pleading. I had been fighting in court for years with my now ex-husband. When I first met Rebecca she was going to law school and working as a paralegal for the attorney I hired to represent me in my divorce. It didn't take long to realize that Rebecca was the brains of the operation. She kept everything flowing, doing most of the work, and helped me keep my head at the same time. After my divorce was finalized I had trouble collecting the settlement from my ex. By now Rebecca had switched law firms and it was very clear that with her gone it was time for me to switch law firms too. My lawyer was completely ineffective without her. It took some effort to track her down, but it was well worth it. With her back on the case I finally got some results. Rebecca is highly intelligent, an outside the box thinker, and very aggressive in defending and protecting her client. She also has the unique ability to be empathetic and compassionate which is important when you are going through the worst time of your life.
