Cookie cutter approach with vanilla guidance. She is very timid and poor at negotiation. She does however know how to play the system and milk you for money. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else.

We have and continue to work with Ms. Potter in protecting our grandson and son in custody issues. She has always acted with professional behavior. She considers the welfare of my grandson first and continues to guard my son's rights in my grandson's life. Even when other lawyers and the judge acts carelessly she always displays a higher level of integrity.

My teenage daughter needed desperately to get out from under her fathers mental and verbal abuse. We have both not had any faith in the legal system in the past. I found Diona through searching online and she made us not so scared anymore. She listened to my daughter and I. My daughter told me she felt real kindness from her. And with that came just the professional lion that we needed. My child is safe now. She doesn't have to worry anymore or be scared and it is all because of Diona. Even Diona's assistant helped us. They told us exactly what we needed to do and walked us through the entire process. We never felt alone.

Had high hopes in my custody case after my initial consultation at Cordell & Cordell, until I was paired with Ms. Potter. She gave me no hope of getting anything better than the minimum amount of visitation and paying the maximum amount of child support. She did not know how to fill out the child support worksheet correctly, and assured me that there was not a single attorney in their firm that knew there were actually instructions for filling out the form. Out of desperation, I figured it out, and realized that I could enter a non-specific deviation for the entire child support amount (which the judge granted). In the negotiation period with opposing counsel, she sent them an offer for me to pay more money than what they were asking for. During court, she asked very few questions and was not aggressive at all. After it was all said and done, Cordell & Cordell said that they "did not find evidence of misrepresentation or a lack of due diligence". Was an extremely expensive and disappointing experience.

Unfortunately, she was a big disappointment. I went to court with her and she said she will explain my situation very well to the judge and the outcome hopefully will be positive, however, when we were at the court she did not say a word. Also, after we are done in the court room she told me to wait for her so she needs to go to handle something about the case. So, I waited, after a long while, she didn't return so I just went to check on her and she was in the hallway and talking on the phone. She will work not because your case demands it because she needs hours. No effort made to change anything in the case. Plus, she will push you to go mediation while your case does not need at all. Will waste your time and money. She will not clearly inform/advise you and that will lead more calls and more hours. Stay away!

My spouse filed for divorce and convinced me we could "work it out ourselves." Before long, I realized that everything was up for grabs and I was at the mercy of my husband and his lawyer.
