We wanted to share our recent experience with Attorney David Wittenberg. We should start by saying that we first met a completely different lawyer for the purpose of filing bankruptcy, but actually never felt comfortable with him and almost abandoned the idea entirely. We’re glad we didn’t. When we met David Wittenberg, he was kind, very unassuming, and confident but not cocky. He gathered information from us and made no promises, other than that he would represent us, and once he obtained what he needed, he went to work right away. He advised a couple of things right off the bat that the first attorney never mentioned, legal but very helpful suggestions in the process. He also presented us with the options that were available, but presented alternatives, in case those options became non-options (not trying to be vague here, just don’t want to present specifics regarding this case). The first attorney we met with never said anything about those other options; he just presented us with a battery of paperwork to take home and complete and advised that when we have the money for the bankruptcy, to bring in the money and the paperwork. To be fair, he explained some of the basics of bankruptcy as a whole, but this is a scary endeavor, and we wanted someone with whom we could relate on some level to get us through this. David Wittenberg was that person. Personally, we found we had some things in common, and that put us at ease in terms of sharing the last several years of our lives with this stranger. If you have doubts, or are feeling scared of the process, we strongly recommend this attorney to help you through it.
