Alexa handled my divorce case this year. Even with the courts shutting down due to covid 19 she got it done extremely fast and efficient. I felt like her communication was excellent which in the case of divorce is key. She was organized and on top of things the entire way. I would recommend her as an attorney to anyone that finds them selves in the unfortunate situation of divorce!

Ms. Lewis is professional and personable; she listens to her client(s). Ms. Lewis and the personnel at the firm did an excellent job putting me at ease from the moment I walked in the office. Ms. Lewis and team achieved success where my previous attorneys failed, and did so expeditiously. I walked in on a Monday and the following Monday had signed paperwork granting me primary custody of my children. Alexa Lewis and her associates are the paradigm of legal professionalism. I cannot speak highly enough of her and the wonderful people at the firm.

I was referred to Shewmaker and Shewmaker by a fellow attorney who had witnessed their representation in a couple of family court cases. At our first meeting, I knew that Alexa was sharp, on top of her game and a go getter! Alexa empathized with my case but kept it real and straight forward about the relevancy of law to my case and the potential outcomes. She was always accessible, timely with her responses and is a wealth of knowledge. She gave me great legal advice, fought hard for my rights and was able to establish a resolution that was in mine and my daughter’s best interest. She is amazing and the only regret I have is that I didn’t find her sooner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! She kicks butt for sure!

If you want a law firm that truly will help you avoid this one at all costs. Being as though I'm a disabled vet and I needed help with a family law case I was referred here. Even though it was a pro bono case they didnt do anything to help my case. I now see the blessing in this if I had paid my hard earned money I would have been more disappointed than I already was. Do yourself a favor and go with another law firm you will be glad that you did. The people I worked with truly did not care and they did not offer any true resolve to my case. Beware you have been warned.

You never know when you may need an attorney out of the blue. And when you do, this is the kind of lawyer you pray for. Over a year ago, I found myself in this place as a young widowed mother of two boys that suddenly needed legal protection from CPS. I prayed long and hard for a lawyer with my family's best needs at heart. I was terrified at trusting a lawyer with something so precious, due to my mother being a paralegal during my childhood and often came home telling me of horror-stories about lawyers. I hired Alexa after one phone call. Don't let her sweet picture fool you, She's a bulldog through and through when it's called for! It took three months, but when all was said and done, my family's case was a success story. Not only did Alexa do her job, she called nearly every day to check on me. I look back on that time period in my life with a gratitude I couldn't yet have when we won a over a year and a half ago. Please forgive the late review! The most precious things in life can't be bought, but when it comes to legally protecting your children, there are no bounds to what a mother will do for them and Alexa didn't take this for granted. Mrs. Lewis gave me a strong legal voice and presence, during a time when my life seemed chaotic and riddled with legal confusion far out of my comfort zone. She empowered me with what areas I could help her and called or emailed me almost daily with updates or just a kind word.
