Steve Shewmaker is an ineffective, arrogant, egotistical tool. Every conversation involves him a) dropping the same names, b) telling you about the same great things he has done in his career, c) mansplaining some aspect of the law, and d) MAYBE getting something effective done regarding your case (but more often not). All at his normal hourly rate of course. His communication skills are the worst. Ask his former employees how they liked working for him; that will tell you everything you need to know.

Steven Shewmaker and Casey Doyle took on my military separation case in 2016. It involved false accusations in the worst possible way. With his help, I was able to avoid becoming a victim of serious military overreach. Not only did he save my career, but he disallowed me to become merely a cautionary tale. Since then I have contacted him on numerous occasions for advice, and his answers have always been prompt and helpful. I can confidently recommend him and his associates for any military related issues, because of his expert knowledge and wealth of experience.

I was a single father and Patty Shewmaker helped me win custody of my very young son, a task that i thought to be impossible, she is amazing and i could NOT have had a better lawyer period. Patricia Shewmaker won my case when several other lawyers told me I had no hope. She knows the law very thoroughly. If you have a complex family law case, Patty will look under every rock to help you. She is very smart and detail oriented. I had a “foreign divorce” from another state and several lawyers told me it would be impossible to enforce it in Georgia. There are people that practice law for selfish reasons, and then there are people who truly care. I walked into Alexa Lewis’ office with absolutely no idea about how I was going to get my divorce done, and get my child back after I had went to court without representation. From the beginning, she was honest and upfront about what I was facing which is EXACTLY what you want in an attorney. Not only did she hop on my case immediately, she communicates and KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING!!! For an entire year I never wondered if she had our best interest at heart. Excellent attorney, ethical, knowledgeable, and caring . Patty agreed to take on my case that had been mishandled by a previous attorney. She was poised and ready to appeal an erroneous order prepared by the opposition however, she was able to obtain an agreement to amend without having to prevail on appeal. This allowed me to save a considerable amount of money and to resolve the issue in less time. Attorney Shewmaker was very responsive to emails and phone calls in a timely manner. This was refreshing to me and my family. Simply awesome!
