Mr. Penland and his team were instrumental and making our family whole. It was a long, complicated process but in the end he got us our desired result. He handled our adoption case with unwavering professionalism and patience. It was a complicated case spanning over a year and he stuck with us through it all for a very reasonable rate and was always there to answer questions or just allow me to vent my frustration with updates from dfcs on occasion. If it hadn't been for his tireless work and thorough preparation our family still wouldn't be whole, but thanks to him and especially his amazing paralegal Stayce we are a happy family. Don’t waste your money, I did. You’ll never get a call back, and when you do it’ll be the paralegal telling you that she had no info. They’ll lie and tell you Penland is in court and he’s not. I called at 2:47PM to see why they had done NOTHING on my case and magically when I appeared at the office it had been filed at 3:25PM but of course it had nothing to do with my call stated the paralegal, it had just been on her desk WAITING (I guess that was supposed to make me feel better) At the consultation I was interrupted from the beginning just desperate and needed an attorney, so I chose the wrong one. Please don’t do that. Valuable time has been wasted that I won’t ever be able to get back. Save yourself the headache, hire someone else. It’s cheaper than wasting it here and messing with the state board to try and get it back. The incompetence is abundant amongst this office.
