This story is about a lesson of courage, faith, and overcoming what seems impossible. I retained Stephanie Burgess as my lawyer to represent me in my child custody case against my ex-wife. From the beginning, I was going through severe anxiety and had cast doubt over my own case because I didn’t know what was going on. When I met with Stephanie Burgess, she assured me that everything will be ok and that I need to have courage, trust, and pray. Stephanie Burgess was very attentive to the details of my case and is very knowledgeable about the law. Stephanie Burgess focused on my concerns throughout the whole litigation process. In the court room is where I saw the most outstanding performance of my life. I was in shock and awe over her performance in the court room. Stephanie Burgess put on a great show and she was amazing!! She was met with an army of people from the opposing party that tried to destroy my character. Stephanie Burgess’ tactics were strong and swift. Stephanie Burgess carried her sling of knowledge and instead of throwing stones at the opposing party, she threw the words of the law. The performance Stephanie Burgess put on had my family and friends in shock and awe. My family and friends were very pleased with the results. Although the army of people from the opposing party left with disappointment, the decision made by the judge was fair. Stephanie Burgess is the most professional lawyer I’ve ever met. I highly recommend this law firm to anyone who needs legal advice and/or representation. If retaining her as your counsel, please be patient and trust in her knowledge and her profession. I made contact with Stephanie through a mutual friend, seeking counsel for a change of custody. I found in her not only a knowledgeable attorney, but one who truly wanted to know me as a person, my motivations for seeking the change of custody, and she provided strength and stability when I desperately needed it. For me and my children, Stephanie was a blessing.

Ms. Burgess, where to even begin with her services. I would 10/10 NOT RECOMMEND her to anyone I care about. I have never had to have a lawyer before this and she really set the stand of what I NEVER want to see again. Am definitely going to call the better business bureau and make a statement about her services. She was absolutely beyond unprofessional, and after seeing these reviews I wonder why for my case she was so unprofessional. I'm not sure of the nature behindbwhy she acted so unprofessional, but my family had to fire her. They paid almost 3,000$ for the initial consultation, then to hire her was 2,700$ and I can say I don't feel like anything she had done was worth the money paid to her. I called her office and scheduled many telephone conferences due to them never actually happening. Two business days before my court date and I got more information about my case from the woman at the front desk, because I never herd from Ms. Burgess STILL. I truly believe she has taken on too many cases for her handle, I really think she should lower her case load to ensure her cases are handled appropriately, and in favor of her clients. In my eyes she expects maximum pay for minimal work. Also she will place you on her priority list as she feels and once you hold her accountable to do her job she gets this nasty, Ghetto attitude when asked simple information, you have the right to know so you aren't in the dark. No one should be in the dark about what to expect at a court hearing or about your case in general when paying such person money to do just that. I can not explain the extreme weight that was lifted from my shoulders when I got to call their office and tell them that we would like to move forward without her unprofessional services. Please do not hire her if you have a case that means anything to you or recommend to someone you love. I would hate to see someone go through what we experienced.

Ms. Burgess is an excellent attorney! She and her staff was able to get my case dropped to a lesser charge and I am so grateful. I highly recommend Burgess Law Firm to anyone in need of an attorney for legal issues.

I recommend this law firm to anyone willing to trust a professional at their job Ms Burgess handled my case so well I was stunned in the courtroom she performed so well and so confident I just couldn’t believe she was able to get results in such a hostile environment (Liberty County) if anyone knows their court system isn’t the easiest but Ms Burgess did not let that stop her one bit.
