Pat O'Connor entered my life at the lowest point in my life: my son had been killed a few days earlier in a collision caused by a woman driving in the wrong direction on an interstate highway while allegedly intoxicated. The collision occurred near Savannah, Georgia, while I live in Virginia, a circumstance that presented a myriad or problems for pursuing a civil action against the defendant. Fortuitously, my son had a friend familiar with the legal community in the area. The friend recommended Pat and I retained him; I could not have made a better choice. Throughout the legal proceedings Pat provided advice and counsel that, in my view, could not have been surpassed; every detail was handled with an expertise gained over many years of experience. Not only did Pat make himself available at every hour of every day, wherever he may have been, he brought to bear the expertise of the supporting staff in the law firm he spearheads. While my family and I were in need of a competent lawyer, we also needed a lawyer with a heart: someone who could offer wise counsel, someone who could cope with our anger and impatience, someone who could understand and appreciate our desire for justice for our son---Pat fulfilled all expectations. The civil suit has now been settled and through Pat's efforts my family and I have been awarded the judment we sought. Would I recommend Patrick T. O'Connor to anyone requiring the services of an attorney? The answer is a resounding "YES."
