My case was a personal injury case. A former friend recommended Alan Connell to represent me after I was hit by a car crossing the street. My insurance agent came to the hospital the day I was hit and gave me a figure based on my insurance alone. Mr. Connell said that she was only a sales person and that with the extent of my injuries he could get much more. Mr. Connell did absolutely nothing to get even one $1 more. He and his assistant called me and texted me over and over again asking for me to get medical bills and such even after I signed a release so that the information could be sent directly to their office. In the end, the final figure was exactly what the insurance company offered the day of my injury. Mr. Connell took 30% off the top plus additional incidental fees and my former friend got a referral fee as well. The total deducted from my settlement amounted to nearly $100,000. If I had settled with the insurance company without him, I would have received the total amount offered the day of my injury not the amount less nearly $100,000.

Is the TRO in effect August 19 it was over.she moved out last day Sept 30.Am I still under that TRO on me.50 yards no contact.just aking

During the first meeting at court we met behind closed doors to sort out a temporary agreement. Allan did not fight for me at all, he agreed to high child support. I spoke up and negotiated it down myself. When I requested the use of one of the family vehicles he cut me off and didn't let me argue my point. The next step was mediation. We met at the courthouse and Allan had not prepared me at all for negotiation. In the following months I negotiated a settlement and sent it to Allan to prepare and send to the other attorney. Allan charged me four hours to read the document . In the end I did all the negotiating and I paid Allan close to twenty thousand dollars for him to take a few phone calls from the other attorney, read the agreement I prepared and process the property deeds at the courthouse, which he did wrong the first time and billed me again to fix.

If you want a good divorce/child custody lawyer who knows how to game the system....this is your man. If you are looking for a honest lawyer who does not pad his hours....this is NOT your man. We had a simple child custody change (shared custody to sole custody) that did not involve child support or divorce and was not contested by the ex. He charged excessive hours, costing us almost $3,500 to create and file some simple forms with the court. I would not recommend this lawyer, unless you want to be over charged.
