BEST ATTORNEY in the area! I hired Rudjard based off of a referral from a friend and after my experience, I would definitely recommend his services to my friends & family as well. Rudjard & his entire staff are very responsive, helpful and caring. Whenever I reached out with questions or concerns, someone always responded to me almost immediately. Rudjard is very knowledgeable and I will be forever grateful for his help....he was able to resolve my case better than I anticipated and was extremely communicative, honest and upfront with me on what to expect and informed me of my various options throughout the process. I am SO thankful for his legal assistance!

Mr. Hayes is a great attorney! He is very nice and was so helpful with my speeding ticket. He didn't make promises, but said he would do his very best to help me. And he did! I am so grateful. I took the driving classes that he recommended, and he was able to get my fine reduced. I am very thankfull and would highly recommend him.

The Attorney that CAN! Can what???? Get Positive Results! My boys were in a super bad situation with the law. Mr. Hayes accepted the case and quickly investigated by developing a calculated strategic defense. Our boys were looking at serving potential time and it was their very first time ever in trouble. Mr. Hayes as a subject matter expert in criminal law was our best option. He is connected within both counties (Fayette/Coweta). Mr. Hayes has a very unique approach in defending his client in the courtroom. Mr. Hayes has brought reality to our hopes and we thank him for it. Mr. Hayes is nothing less than outstanding. Mr. Hayes helped keep my family together.

I can't begin to convey how grateful my family is to Mr. Rudjard M. Hayes....My daughter who had never been in trouble, was facing serious charges. And from day ONE Mr. Hayes assured us that he'd do all within his power to assist us... Not only did Mr. Hayes get the case DISMISSED IN ITS ENTIRETY; he was able to get the arrest REMOVED from her record!!! I get choked-up talking about it.... because not only did he go above and beyond to help her, he also worked with us financially..... I knew five minutes into our first meeting with Mr. Hayes that we wanted him to represent our daughter…..He is a special person with a talent to recognize the good in people and possess the ability to treat everyone as individuals. THANK YOU is an understatement....But, we thank him for listening and taking the time out to reassure us....We thank him for seeing our daughter for the great young lady she is, and not as the mistake she made.... And most of all thank we thank him for going to bat for her!! Likewise, his staff was great!! They were always pleasant anytime we called and quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. It is with great enthusiasm and without reservation that we recommend Mr. Hayes and may God continue to bless him and those he serves.

Adam Younker will provide piece of mind for your legal concerns. I was very anxious about my issue in Coweta County before I retained Adam. Needless to say, He took great care of me. One last thing I MUST mention is that Adam accepted my case with LESS THAN A WEEK before my next appearance. He handled it as if he were with me from the very beginning. Adam Yonkers... An Exceptional Litigator at an EXCELLENT Cost. Worth Every PENNY!!!

Adam is hardworking and trustworthy. He has represented me for years and I'm always satisfied with the outcome. His aggressiveness is superb, you need a lawyer that will push the envelope. In my most recent case, Adam advise against every deal the prosecution offered and was willing to recuse the state/judge if we didn't get the deal I wanted in a 2 DUI case. Day of trial, we got the deal I wanted! In my experience with attorneys, you get what you pay for... sure you may be able to find cheaper representation but Adam is definitely worth his rate. If you need a dependable lawyer at a fair rate, call Adam.

I first met with Mr. Younker a few weeks after my arrest for DUI. I was nervous of course because I knew I wasn't intoxicated but that's not enough for court. After reviewing my case it was a no brainer we were turning down plea deals and fighting this thing. He walked me through every step of the way. Picked a jury, compared notes, he listened to me and any ideas that I could possibly bring to the table. We had a 5 to 1 acquittal in 20 mins. It eventually lead to the case being dismissed. It was a full on trial too, witnesses, videos, arguing, whole 9. He fought for me and won, I would highly recommend this man to anyone in need of a lawyer. Very fair priced as well.

Hello to all, I hope this review finds you well. I retained Anita Clark for an employment case issue with a former employer. I was looking for a lawyer that could handle my case, someone I can talk to, someone who would do honest work. I choose Anita because she seemed very up to date on employment law. She was nice but she meant business. This was a combination that I wanted. I wanted an attorney that meant business but could also negotiate and bring in results. Anita was VERY knowledgable about employment law. She has worked on both sides of the table before. She was very thorough and negotiated & communicated my case very brilliantly. I was above PLEASED with how she handled my case. My lawyer was able to secure an agreement without going to trial. Anita was able to do what many others thought was impossible. Of course, there are not any guarantees in these types of employment situations... but I was comfortable with Anita, whether it was in my favor or not, because I was confident that she would do her best and do a good job for me. That was the most important thing for me. I wanted someone honest that would do there best for me and my family. If you are looking for an attorney, I recommend Anita Clark. It is at least worth the initial consultation. I think you will find the same thing that I did, and that she is a brilliant employment law attorney. Many blessings and I hope that you find the right person for you.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Tyrone, Georgia?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
