I was ashamed to be filing for bankruptcy at my age, but when I met with Attorney Jeff from Blake Goodman he set my mind at ease. From filling out all of the forms to signing all of the documents Jeff from Blake Goodman was efficient as well as super knowledgeable regarding the bankruptcy process. The process hasn’t finished but thus far fabulous at every step. I never thought I would come to this moment of being so deep in the hole debt wise that I couldn’t see and end to it and my essential items like rent, electricity, and cable were behind because I was making so many minimum payments that all my income was being applied to try to pay debt. I read up about the different chapters you can file and the process. Over the last couple of years of struggle I thought of trying to reconsolidate or going with the companies that take 6-48 months as you save up funds in an account and they negotiate down your debt but finally I was done struggling to keep juggling and failing at every turn. If you need to file for bankruptcy get a lawyer. I filed my mom’s uncontested divorce myself and that was horrible dealing with filling out those form. I am so glad that even though people were like you can do it yourself that I didn’t. I been hearing Blake Goodman’s ads on the radio over the years…when I needed to call I couldn’t remember the his last name luckily I heard it again and made the call that save me days of trying to figure out how to fill out papers and dealing with credit calls on my own. Not to mention the anxiety of completing this unknown process myself waiting for me to mess something up. At every step I spoke to really nice legal assistants and Blake regarding my situation. They pretty much made the process as painless as possible call for initial meeting, fill out pre-consultation questionnaire, attend meeting, pay fee (extremely reasonable considering the firms experience and that they are an office of lawyers), intensive questionnaire so they get the full picture, they complete the petition, you go in for a meeting, they tell you when your creditors meeting is, they remind you and that is as far as I got thus far in the process. Every question I asked and every time I called or emailed they have graciously answered and creditors are directed to contact Blakes office rather than me
