I heard of Ethan through his “Estate-Planning Insights” articles in the Hawaii Herald and decided to have a consultation with him to see if he could help us prepare in the event my mom would need Medicaid assistance in the future. He took a look at my mom’s financials and a life estate plan she set up many years ago. He told us the life estate has changed and does not offer the same protection that it once did. I was referred to Ethan from a friend, but I also had others that I was meeting with to see which one would be a good fit for me. The others focused more on what I need to do and how much it would cost me. When I met with Ethan, his first words were; Why do I need a trust and why do I want a trust?
