I was surprised how quickly the bankruptcy was done. Everyone was nice and very helpful. I was nervous at first but Mr. Zeyer assured me that everything would be ok.

We were recommended by a family friend to Peterson Zeyer law for bankruptcy support. Due to some mounting medical debt we needed a solution and the reviews on here were awesome. To start, the initial consultation with the lawyer went very well. He explained the pros and cons of chapter 7 and chapter 13 and gave us an idea based on some quick numbers we gave him. We left that day very happy. The reason for the review is based on what took place after that visit. My wife and I got the required packet filled out and stopped by his office to drop them off. At that point, the receptionist began to ask us all sorts of questions about our finances and what we had wrote down. This was private information that we both felt should have been discussed with our lawyer in private and not in front of a waiting room full of people, most of which were less than 15 feet away. To make matters worse, all communication from that day forward was pretty much non existent. We paid the retainer fee when we dropped off the packet yet every email me or my wife sent or message left went unreturned. One of the emails had a response saying that our email address was undeliverable yet my wife and I could get mail from anyone else and had even received email from Hyrum on that account several times before. We were frustrated that there was never a response and couldn’t understand why there was never a phone call made or anything after the email issues. Between the lack of respect for client privacy from the receptionist, terrible communication and months of waiting, we were over it. To this day we have not heard anything from the attorney since the last email response from the beginning of June. We ended up selling our home and paid off all debt but the frustration of the $750 retainer thrown away for nothing still lingers.
