When you are looking for someone to represent you during a life changing event, you want someone who is knowledgeable, professional, nonjudgmental, fair and honest. These are the basics. William Young is anything but basic. I was in a situation where my family had experienced a number of overwhelming and heartbreaking circumstances in 2021 that snowballed into financial insecurities and a “just trying to survive” approach. I was facing a misdemeanor charge that had the potential to ruin my long standing career. As the sole income for my household, this was terrifying. Will was my support during one of the most difficult times of my life. He was available for questions via email and telephone. Stephanie Luna was also on top of all communication and provided information in the interim regarding hearing dates/times and any other relevant information. Their communication was straightforward, honest and comforting. William Young truly encompasses all the best qualities of what a lawyer should be and his high expectations can be seen in the individuals he employs to serve his clients in tandem with him. His kindness is unmatched in today’s cutthroat world. His empathy is apparent from the first consultation. After hearing about the circumstances surrounding my charge, he chose to represent me pro bono, meaning that the financial strain I was feeling would not worsen and I would not have to choose which bill to neglect in order to get someone qualified to help me. I have no doubt about the amount of work he put in negotiating with the prosecutor to get my charge reduced and minimal fines, again him thinking not only about saving my career but also about not putting further financial strain on my household with exorbitant fines. He listened and understood and conveyed that to every person he interacted with on my behalf. I cannot speak highly enough about William Young and the type of individual he is.
