DO NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY! I made the mistake of not cutting my losses 1/3 way into my divorce. Kris Meek played on my fear and lack of knowledge in divorce law. He was very quick to spend my money after hearing about my large amount of equity in the marital home and used that saying I could pay once the house sold. He filed motion after motion and even asked me to write my own motions. These motions did absolutely nothing for my case but cost me money. He hired another attorney to handle my retirement saying he didn't dare handle that. He didn't tell me he hired him before hand and it cost me $1800.00 for this attorney to draw up my QDRO documents which the judge declined. I spent the $1800.00 for nothing. Both Kris and the other attorney were confused and misinformed me on several occasions with information that threatened my financial future. I lost sleep and my work performance suffered due to their lack of professionalism and knowledge. Kris spent a lot of time talking about his childhood and experiences with the divorce of his parents and I got charged to hear that. There were numerous times I would get an email about something or documents to sign from Kris's assistant and I would call and Kris had no idea what was going on. He was very belitting and yelled at me on the phone a few times. He was not compassionate towards my situation but tried to come off as he was. He was condescending at times as well. I ended up getting what I would have by filing myself. I got half the debt and half of the assets. He did absolutely nothing for me but draw out my divorce and cost me money. My divorce costs me $37,000 and it was a nightmare. I am not writing this review to be vindictive but to warn other people going through divorce. Do your research before retaining an attorney.

Jared has given me great advice when I have needed it. He’s a great attorney and family man and understands the law and can guide you through the maze that is our legal system.

Greg Caulder drew up a trust for one of my parents. He took me for a ride after they passed away death for over $5000, and I ended up having to solve the issue over one of the accounts on my own. I learned from the experience, but I do not think he was honest about billing and purposefully strung the issue out, as opposed to using his expertise to advise on an simple solution. He called me while driving with spotty reception to chat away and had nothing in particular to discuss. I cannot recommend him. I have no problem paying for excellent service and advice but an attorney has a lot of temptation to abuse and this guy could not resist. If he had properly overseen the estate paperwork he was paid handsomely draw up and review the situation could have been prevented. My impression is that he is lazy and a bit greedy. He could see I was under stress and inexperienced and he pounced. I’m still angry with myself for not seeing it sooner. My CPA pointed it out and gave me the solution in two sentences.

During all of this, he remained sensitive to the overarching family and social dynamics, and provided sound counsel. He was also mindful of the financial implications, and made strong efforts to control costs while still effectively and efficiently addressing my legal needs. I recommend Kris and his team without hesitation.

I called Kristopher about a complicated case involving cross jurisdiction with Texas, He called me back within moments after leaving him a voice mail was completely upfront and honest with me about the issue and give me some really good truthful advice that everyone else padded around he had all the information right then. WOULD DEFIANTLY RECOMMEND !!!!!! If you want somebody to give it to you straight

Kris kept me informed and addressed issues promptly. The support staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. My family appreciates the way we were treated and represented.

I have absolutely no complaints about Kris and his Team. I could not have asked for a better or more professional attorney. He came Highly recommended to me and did not disappoint.

The best! John and his staff was always quick to follow up, give feedback and explain the process to "normal language" so I always understood where we were in the process. Of course, as they helped us win the case they deserve that extra star!

My advice? Consider your other options...

I've worked with Joe Fairbank, Jeff Brunson, and Jared Allen at Beard St. Clair. They have impressed me as talented professionals, but more importantly, as people that really care about you personally. I've referred friends and clients to this firm for estate planning, business litigation, etc. Highly recommended.
