For my husband Neil Jones whom was referred by the Illinois State Bar Association to Arteaga. He advised them as follows: I feel somewhat amiss in my late response but my legal issue moves exceedingly slow. I should belatedly wish to thank you for this referral and advise you how delighted I am with his practice. Mr. Arteaga I have found to be truly professional, considerate, detailed, a great communicator, but perhaps more importantly thorough in his knowledge and in his support of his client. My unfortunate experiences with the prior three lawyers is what “forced” me to act pro se the last decade. Certainly the first should have been subject to an official complaint by me for his legal negligence. But all were less than professional, with poor “bedside” manner and bad communications, with less than a sincere effort on my behalf but just going through the day’s motion of which some days they didn’t know what they were in court for!

I am one of the people that thought I could do a divorce case on my own. How hard could it be? As I began, I realized I needed to file this motion, submit that form, pay this fee, etc. Before I knew it, I was inundated with numerous required online forms, tedious county specific documents and parenting classes to complete.
