Needed an aggressive firm for my divorce/custody case, as my previous attorney lacked the ability to "fight". They did what was necessary, although the pricing is a bit high (even for attorneys).

The meeting started out slow, but ended up priceless. I scheduled a free consultation to discuss a possibility of legal advice or legal help regarding landlord rights. At first Edward Blake seemed a bit cold and aloof, but as the meeting progressed he loosen up a little and he began to provide some valuable information that definitely will help my husband and I real estate business. I read some of the other reviews about how Edward Blake seemed distant and not willing to help. From my experience I can honestly say that it's not that he doesn't want to help, but he can't just give answers. The law isn't black and white, there is a lot of gray areas. He won't just give general answers without concrete facts to support it. He could be held liable for the information that he gives and because of that he wants to make sure that it is correct. I respect anyone, yet along an attorney, who decisions and advice is fact driven.

Staff was very knowledgeable. Attorney was willing to resolve legal issues with maximum input. Attorney was experienced.

While this account is in my wife's name, I, Retired Circuit Judge Daniel J. Stack, am writing this review. I have known Ed Blake for many years and have had many experiences with him in the law. Since I retired from the bench in 2010, I have mediated several cases with Ed and have always found him to be completely prepared, detailed and with very well researched legal analysis.

Ed Blake and his law firm are very professional and very effective! Especially important, is the excellent follow up on the details and issues of the case. Blake and his firm are first class!
